Best way for a secondary phone #
 

Hello I signed up for a couple of different places last night for call forwarding etc, but I noticed that It doesn't send text messages to verify your phone number on eBay.
What is the best way to get a new # that accepts text messages? I was going to use Google voice but it says that weird message please leave your name after the beep and I didn't want eBay thinking that was suspicious so I am trying to figure out what is the best way to have this.

You are asking a lot of good questions but most of them have already been answered.

Many of us use google voice.

Once you put in your 2 digit code the screen on google voice will show you to add your zip code etc. When it does this just hang up the phone.

Have it send you the text and it will come in on your GV email.

Hi I did this already I am just saying if eBay or PayPal calls me to talk they will hear that pre recorded message saying "please leave your name after the beep"
Wouldn't ebay or PayPal not be happy with that?

Hi, what if we just have only one mobile phone, we can only attach one GV number, and I hear we should keep that GV number incase? What if we want a second or third stealth account?

You can attach up to 3-4 Google Voice Numbers to 1 real number.

I was only able to do 2. List one as work and other as home. How you do it?

You can try the following:
Go into Google Voice
Click on the Google Voice Number
Uncheck the Home and exit.

Good point. I usually re-record my own greeting and name.

If you run 100 stealth accounts and are not good at faking voices, you can simply record a second of silence.

I usually use vnumber, sign up for a trial with the vcc for the account and you can use it to verify an account.

Text+ is perfect for receiving text messages from ebay, I use it all the time
