No, I move more than 10k/month in some paypal accounts, it is fine.
Paypal doesn't get much information from the banks but I don't see the point of going through all this hassle for 2-3k.

you can link any Iban from the EEA account to any EUR account and also a GB IBan (Euro)account. I usually have different ibans from the account countrys and never had problems with it (Transferwise...

From what I remember, you can easily link any EU bank to another EU PayPal, but you will have to contact PayPal if you want to add a US bank to an EU PayPal since the option isn't there to do it...
