eCommerce Thread

For all eCommerce users here.

I run an eCommerce Website as I'm sure a lot of users on here do also.

Lets share some services our providers offer as they are a great tool for online retail.

I operate with BigCommerce and use PayPal Express, eWay and Stripe as my visa merchants.

Very simple to use, easy templates and very Mobile friendly layouts.

My customers are 90% smartphone users as I use social media to generate traffic.

What else is out there?

WordPress + WooCommerce (with pro theme) > BigCommerce

Otherwise you give up too much control and what's the point in having your own website if you're not in control of it.

With WooCommerce? Yes, there are 100+ plugins for payment options alone. The one thing I don't like about WooCommerce is their prices for these plugins. They give away the software free but to add extra functionality.. certain payment plugins and other special features cost monies. There are other similar WordPress based carts out there but WooCommerce is the best supported and most popular. I use it myself for certain projects.

I'm WordPress + WooCommerce too. It's amazing how easy it is and your are in full control. Integrated great with social media too. Tons of plugins and extensions for social media, paid and free.

For me anyhow...I am not very website savvy...so i had to stay with very simple...So I am hosting with fatcow...i use there weebly program...you just add a text button and type, or a picture button and download the picture...pretty easy with for me anyhow...

I wanted to stay away from paypal so i could keep ebay seperate...i also like free....but that didnt last long as google checkout went under, wepay stopped with the payment buttons...so i signed up with braintree which is free, but charges you a transaction fee just like the others...and I went with a small company called fleapay which helps create simple payment buttons so you can put the html code on the website...the shipping is easy...but i do pay a small monthly fee, which i dont like, but all those companies that had free payment buttons are no longer except for paypal...

For me, its just easy for me

Awww.. that's sad mrbills10.. at least your setup is working for you. Maybe take a weekend and really learn how to expand your setup to free options like WordPress and a shopping cart like WooCommerce. I suggest moving into it slowly. It's fun though.

Good luck!
