DHL delivered to wrong address - what to do?
The first time this has happened to me.
I ordered some goods from China, they arrived in the UK. The first day when they were due for delivery, I was not home. So they attempted delivery again the following day.
I am living at number 320, but on the tracking it says delivered to neighbour number 28 - which is quite a long way away.
So I went to number 28 to see where the parcel was, and they said that number 30 had collected it... So I visited number 30 but the person at the door could barely speak english. They said, "no it's not me" and closed the door.
I suspect they have probably stolen the parcel.
So I called DHL to complain, they said they would open up a case and get back to me after the weekend. They took a description of the contents, value, approx size.
Has this happened to anyone else? What is best to do in this situation?
On the tracking it says delivered to number 28. So clearly it is not my door number, would I be able to claim a refund from the seller?
