Default USPS First Class $2.61, cheaper option?

Ok so I know others are paying $2.61 for each item they ship, or maybe not!! This adds up quickly but seems to be the cheapest with tracking option I've found.

Is there other options that others are using that work? I don't need tracking anymore necessarily because most payments are instant. However, I just need to be able to confirm the item was delivered to protect myself.

In my experience, USPS is easiest to deal with (because of location), the most efficient, and cheapest. So much that I don't look elsewhere anymore, so maybe things have changed but they have been the best option for me for years.

True. In Endicia there is a padded envelope option for $0.98 shipping rate but it doesn't provide tracking. I may try that.

My items are cheap enough that if a buyer claims one doesn't arrive I can afford to ship another.
