I can't say with any certainty that addresses get flagged. Every address that I have had seizures at either I or someone else has subsequently received packages at...go figure.

I would assume though that it is much riskier and should be avoided at least for a period of time

What is much riskier? Shipping to the address that recently had a package seized?

So, anything more than 2 weeks we should go ahead and consider those packages a lost cause? I'm going to start opening disputes with my CC company. I can always close the dispute if I miraculously receive the item after being held so long. Thoughts?

after 3 days finally got released from customs in JFK. they had it since july 11.

Usually this happens mid-June. I guess they are changing their "blackout" dates.

What shipping company and what location are you talking about.

DHL, eastern US. Also, one of my packages says "Awaiting collection by recipient as requested" on the DHL tracking update. What does this mean? I've never experienced this before. According to the DHG blog, someone else experienced this issue and their item ended up getting seized by customs after a few weeks. That seems odd to me that the package would make it all the way to the destination hub just to be seized.

Ya'll are nuts importing phakes. Person I knew use to be big into the Vero products on eBay. Was getting 2-3 packages a week to multiple UPS store addresses. Customs tracked who the packages went to. Homeland Security got a warrant raided his house and his storage unit. Now is facing 4 Felony counts and 2 Misdemeanors. Be careful what you guys get into.

Branded goods, that is all I can say. But if you are a volume importer and get lots of merchandise be careful. Especially if you have had packages seized multiple times in the past.

Another story out today about a guy who got tailed for importing phake goods. I guess they found a whole lot more than anticipated.

I have the same thing going on here.Miami ISC. Parcels came into U.S
the 2nd of last month Aug.

The PO here in my home town keeps telling me to be patient. I've got 2 packages I'm waiting for. One says processed thru on the 5th
of Sep. the other says the 7th.

This must have picked these out at
random,this has happened once before, about a year to a year and a half
ago.
I have to admit I blew it off. But one day I moved it got forwarded
to my new address and the package was in my mailbox.

US Customs now keeps tabs on sellers who import a good amount of phakes. They will sometimes even let items go through to see where they go. 5-6 years ago importing phakes was nothing if they got seized you just got a letter saying they would destroy the items and they where confiscated.

Completely different game today. Anyone who imports items via EMS, DHL, UPS, TNT, Fed Ex without some kind of special clearance is crazy. My friend back in the day had a contact who had DHL shipment Air bills changed from like 40lbs to 1-2lbs so they bypassed customs.

Unless you have some crazy connect like that which that person ended up doing jail time overseas. You are nuts, giving customs a free look at what you are buying and the addresses and everything else.

Have known multiple people that have gotten caught up importing including one just last week saying he wished he would have listened to me after he messaged me earlier in the year when I responded about a friend who got raided by Customs/Border Security. Apparently the same thing happened to him about a week ago.

don't mess with ph@@@%%%s .it is VERY expensive cost to hire a lawyer. and a lot stress when the agent raid your house and al possible jail time
listen to "vogeltron" , multiple persons had been hit with this.DO NOT do it any more if you still do it,if you have stock,throw them away.make sure you throw away the old computers,data card,and old phones,,,,

CUSTOMS & HOMELAND SECURITY WILL TAKE WAHTEVER ACTION THEY WANT & WHATEVER ACTION THEY NEED TO ENFORCE IMPORTATION LAWS.

STOP DOING PHAKES. IT SUCKS GETTING A KNOCK ON YOUR FRONT DOOR AT 06:00AM IN THE MORNING

Users knowinginly importing phakes can deal with their own issues.

Read the whole thread. So during the last 1-2 years it got worse. But the question is - did they become more picky in catching the goods (doesn't matter VERO or not) pursuing the tax procedure etc or they got tougher on catching VERO and contraband of branded goods?

Cause the previous post of N/A guy sounded more like "hide in the forest for the rest of your life" than real suggestions how to be more sneaky.

P.S.: if that is a point - eb & pp also tracks everything :spy:

More picky? Likely more techniques exist to sort it out over past 2 years so...in a ways, sure
