In my experience, China Post takes anywhere from 2-4 WEEKS to show up. EMS takes 8-10 days and DHL takes 4 days.

But DHL is only economical if the package weighs more than 21KG (about 40 lbs).

Any one of these methods can experience delays, especially if your package is chosen for customs inspection.

The bottom line is, your package is coming from the other side of the world, not the other side of town. If you want to use EMS instead, just ask your supplier. Most times, they will ship that way if you want. It may cost extra, but it can be done. For small packages, though, DHL is prohibitively expensive so that really is not an option.

A lot of Chinese sellers had major problems with HKPost, there were serious backlogs last month.

ChinaAirPost in my opinion is fast, it's cheap, and I've always got my stuff in 2 weeks.

IT seems that recently transit times have increased alot (in terms of: the package is not leaving China at all, what are they waiting for?)

This summer I had about 50 parcels coming through from China with China 'Airpost' and some of them were here in 4 days, the longest it took was 8 days.

Today I'm still waiting for a parcel that has been shipped 8 days ago to even leave the country.

-EDIT: My location is The Netherlands, btw, don't know why I have an Ozzie flag, but sure.-

I have a ems package i ordered on November 28th from China,
It is already 12-12-2010 today and still in China waiting,
The same supplier normal takes 8 days or less on ems,
So could just be slow holiday season i think,
Thanks

Could be. I'm not sure what you're ordering, but if it's counterfeit products they sometimes get conviscated before even leaving the country, this due to international pressure on China.

If it's just a normal legit product or whatever I'd just blame it on EMS being slow releasing parcels. My China Post Airpost parcel was released after 6 days this week, where as it normally takes 1 or 2 days, so I'm guessing it does have to do with the holiday season.

Question

It cleared china customs my supplier found out,
The one i ordered 11-28-2010 is in the transfer station,
Funny thing today my order from 12-3-2010 after this one
was handed over to usa customs at 5am this morning in San Fransisco,
It still was in there tonight and not update all day long,
I think usa customs is super busy is all right now,
So my 12-3-2010 order jumped my 11-28-2010 and made it faster,
Same supplier and product which i find funny,
Any one else have any stories like this of recent,
Would love to hear them,
Thanks

Now china also try to burn down the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods and show their performance these two months,so now all the vero packages only can being sent out from guang zhou .So the wholesale country ems of vero products have been sent here and waiting for send out.

This statics will remain more a few days until china new year passed
