Default EMS from China To Uk

I don't know about anybody else but I've had a parcel from EMS for the first time i've looked around the internet and people are saying it normally takes 5 days to get from China to UK, my tracking is as follows:

Date Timing Site Status
  2010-12-19 13:24:00 JINSHAN Posting
2010-12-19 13:55:00 JINSHAN Despatch from Sorting Center
2010-12-19 21:34:02 SHANGHAI Arrival at Sorting Center
2010-12-19 23:32:12 SHANGHAI Despatch from Sorting Center

It's not even arrived in England yet, so how can it arrive at my door by tomorrow (5 days). Yes I have checked parcel force:

Status: Handed Over

Parcel tracks

Date Time Location Tracking Event

19-12-2010 23:32 Delivery Agent - BEIJING - PTT Forwarded for export
19-12-2010 13:24 Delivery Agent - CHINA Collected from customer

Is any one else suffering from delays? I am newbie buyer and I would also like to ask ihow long does it normally take for a parcel to come from China to the UK? Have you encountered a time when the tracking says it somewhere else but on the same the parcel comes to you? What happens when it despatches from Shanghai sorting centre? Do EMS have a lot of delay? What's the shortest time you've ever got a parcel from China through EMS?
Is EMS trust worthy? Has EMS lost or confiscated any of your items before?

Of course you don't have to answer all the question but try to answer as much of them

EMS is good or else no one would use them. The only thing you have to worry about is Customs. Tons of people are seeing delays because of the holidays. Even local overnight shipping sometimes takes 2-3 days to get somewhere because xmas is around the corner.

Don't worry have patience.

You had an airport shut down for a couple days....I would not worry for now unless you got customers knocking down your email

I have the same problems with EMS right now to the UK

This time of year (christmas and new years) using EMS is useless ask the Chinese to send it via DHL International it will only take 3 working days - you will pay extra but it will save a lot of time. IF the chinese give you some bull**** excuse DEMAND them to use DHL/TNT or another private logistics company. When the bad weather is over then go back and re-use EMS it will be cheaper in the long term.

yea sure, it doesn't depend on what "they say" it depends on what the customs do in the UK. Sometimes sending it via gift does lower the import duty costs or pay nothing, however not always - sometimes if replica they can destroy the merchandise. Remember all Chinese care about is the money, nothing else.

As many experts said ,just a bit patience, your goods will be reached sooner or later but now the speed of ems is really getting slow, due to new year ' holiday .

Just tell you one more thing, because chinese new year is coming,so the china goverment will check the goods very strickly during this peroid ,this happen to every year.

It is too long for your items staying in china,so you have to ask your supplier to provide more info for this ,as they keep the bill ,so they can track the parcel .

It is almost 1 month,it still showing it is on china, the seller definite need do something for you.

I had a package mailed on 12/13 - and I still have not received it. I was promised I'd get it by Christmas, and now its well after the new year and still nothing! The latest info on the tracking says "dispatch from china"..
