For the people who have had successful packages, are your items clothing or something more specific?

Hey guys 1 of parcels got through last week fine, yet my recent one is a strange one, Parcelforce tracking states its in customs, EMS says cleared customs, yet recevied forms from the border force saying its siezed :( dam, what yah guys think?

Exactly what happend to me, it's been seized unfortunately.

Do you mind saying what catourgry of item it was that was seized?

Clothes etc?

Were the sports shoes bundle packed and the boxes folded flat, or were they sent as sold in their original box?

i think fully boxed but i did not get it so i cant be 100% sure


why do you think fully boxed is a give away?

Everyone should stop using EMS and start using Jimmy Saville. He would get the clothes through customs without any hassle.

Clothes, shoes & accessories.. thats the category of goods that are being seized for me at the moment.

are your packages a mixture of items or all the same in one

e.g one package-all shoes etc

...and what quantity were you buying at once? How many seizures have you had?

all the same items in the one packages. i've tried to get them throught in batches of 10. Thats the smallest you would want to order and still got seized. nightmare. Seems like they are targeting certain types of item, its like these are going through the scanner and being picked out on purpose and everything else just glides through. f uckers.

If your supplier appears to be undervaluing the package contents, declaring it as something different, not filling the decleration form in correctly etc these can give customs a reason to check it's contents. These sort of packages will be target more during random checks.

personally i think they are clamping down on the branded sports shoes,you know the ones:)

Counterfeit clothing has always been targeted by customs in the UK. They may or may not have changed/improved their procedures.

To answer all of your questions don't import "VERO" items and all will be well with UK Customs :).

^ GrannyTranny, I was doing a similar tit for tat thing last week, I realised that it achieved nothing for all people invloved. Instead of being rational, these arguments always end up being personal.

I just drink and list items furiously! I list em in the wrong category on purpose! I end them before people have a chance to buy!

We also have 9 packages sent to uk without any delay and problem last week,the content are fitness product and kitchen tools products

put it this way,they cant stop every package coming through!

there will always be a way round this,supply and demand,if ppl want them,there will always be someone bringing them into the country big or small!

Footwear is the biggest problem, I am pretty sure they are scanning packages.

There is a certain footwear manufacturer that is working with customs specifically to stop their product being imported. I've imported them myself, and their not fa ke, I have taken them into a House Of Fraser and had them verified!!

Manufacturers just don't like people jumping their chain of command. If they don't want the risk of grey imports they shouldn't mass produce in China.

I use a storage facility to keep my goods and 2 weeks ago uk customs turned up with the police to search one of the units,Apparantly the people at the unit had been importing goods from the far east,they took van loads of stuff away and searched the houses of the people,Another thing i found out was they had been buying from sites like trade tang, ali express and paying with paypal so they have now had paypal account suspended,Seems customs are definatly cracking down at the moment.

I think the high street has been feeling the fact of people importing their own stuff. Prices seem to be way down than what they were last year. T shirts (big brand names) and jeans are all down by about 40%.

Is that Lambo restricted to 30 mph?

Anybody had any delays on their stuff? I've got 3 sitting there since the weekend. Not good!
