NEVER EVER SHIP VIA PARCELFORCE!

The amount of problems I had with them is ridiculous they inspect ALL packages VERY careful.

DHL goes through customs 2 minutes after arriving at 'Sort Facility'...like hell do they check packages properly.. one of the DHL reps told me their best / quickest route is HK to UK as they have such a good relationship with the airports.

Parcelforce will burn you

I always used Parcelforce when shipping certain items. It takes like 4-5 days to clear customs but it was worth it. Any other shipping method, I would have been apprehensive to use. Parcelforce do not inspect nearly as often in my experience.

The only problem is that they can still let it sit doing nothing for days, even if they have no intention of inspecting it. As long as the invoice is good and does not get them interested in the contents, they normally have no reason to open it. But it is worth it if you have the time.

What do you guys reckon..? Seized..? I have not had this before - awaiting customs clearance twice..

Have already phoned parcelforce twice but spoke to useless articles both times who were no help.

Btw had this item shipped many many times to UK with no issues, usually marked as gift/samples.

Doesnt matter about previous times, exactly what I said above... Parcelforce IS problems whichever way you look at it!

DHL - NEVER had a problem, they have the best relationship with airports and some of the quickest routes EVER.. I advise to send 1 parcel with DHL and 1 with PARCELFORCE and come back to me with which is easier

Willkeelham - Its that type of bull you posted above is why I would never ship with Parcelforce again OH and the fact they put ridiculous prices on the customs fees where DHL dont.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have used DHL many times and in all honesty I AGREE and PREFER DHL. Tracking/service/speed are top notch and win hands down over parcelforce.

I get 80% of my packages shipped with DHL...

This one supplier however and product are not advised to be sent via DHL by more than one chinese supplier, hence sending via EMS.

Just wondered if anyone else had had items awaiting customs clearance twice that is all!

I've never had a problem with either but definitely prefer DHL for several reasons:

Faster, better tracking info and lower "admin" fees when processing customs charges.

If it says it twice it usually means fees are needed might be worth calling them and asking is there are fees on it Wilk.

I prefer UPS. Everything reaches me from China in 3 days maximum, and it clears as soon as it arrives in the country. EMS is a last resort for me

Elijah. What are you importing?
If you got nothing to be afraid of, the all you can do is wait.
Customs can hold to your item has along has they want, and no courier company can do anything.
