Default Repeated withdrawal problems .

I am running into a problem recently. I'm decently knowledgeable in this process by now, and there is not much that I don't know or can't figure out but this boggles me.

I had 15 accounts each with about $1k in them. I wanted my money, so I hooked up 15 bank accounts each to the different accounts and did the 2-3 day verification with microdeposits.

After doing the microdeposits, PP then did a micro-withdrawal on 6 of the 15 bank accounts for the exact amount they deposited.

My bank accounts look like this:

8:00pm PP - Withdrawl: .24
7:59pm PP - Deposit: .13
7:59pm PP - Deposit: .11

On ALL of the 6 accounts that this happened to, the account was limited within 20 minutes and locked up.

Can anyone explain what prompted this? Has this happened to anyone else?

Which bank are you using?

Certain banks are causing paypal to react as you described.

JPMorgan Chase

If I had done instant verification, would this have been avoided?

I have seen this also on newer account and has been posted before...

It would make sense... This way they instantly see the name on the account...

You didn't have to verify the accounts to withdraw just food for thought for next time.

I've noticed that Paypal has never withdrawaled from any of my (Canadian banks) because I select Saving accounts all the time. Also what jamblix said is correct, if your account is already limited and is ready for withdrawal, you don't have to wait for the microdeposits. You can just withdrawal it right after adding it.

Whereabouts in the thread does the OP say his account(s) were limited? Nowhere.

All he seems to have done is decided to 'move' way too much money from a paypal account.
He's compounded his grief by having 15 accounts affected.

Business plan needs adjustment quickly

Some clarifications:

1. These are active accounts, not 180'd accounts. I'm pretty sure I need to confirm the bank account before withdrawing $. I may be wrong, I've never tried it any other way.

2. These accounts are about a year old, and have been selling for about 6 months. They have never had a Bank Account linked to them at all, they were signed up as seller accounts using VCC's which have since been emptied.

3. They were registered as Checking accounts with PP, not savings. This is an good point BiN4RY.

4. I did not attempt to move any money at all. I never attempted a withdrawal on any of these accounts. I attempted bank account verification and it was all down hill from there. I didn't even get a chance to verify the microdeposits.

So you got limited when PP took back the microdeposits - happened on 6 accounts. For sure, the bank would send a receipt to PP in the bankholder's original name. IT is quite possible the PP agents/system did a name check with PP account and it did not match up causing instant limitation. Would not take much technology to do a name match...

Last week PayPal took back the micro deposits of a recent stealth account. They didn't shut it down and I've since bought 15 items and listed 11 (sold 1). Go figure.

You're correct, he didn't say his account was limited. Nontheless my statement does not chance. You can still withdrawal the funds without verifying your bank account first.

Hmmmm this is pretty weird and hopefully this does not keep happening. It looks like i will start doing instant verification from now on. Its faster and looks more safe to pp in my eyes.

This does not have much to do with your problem but talking about these micro deposits..... Yesterday i added a new bank account to a stealth account and waited 5 days and the micro deposits were never deposited into my bank...... And i don't think a bank would reject these small deposits... would they????

@binary, do you even select savings even if its a checking?

LoopHole, how exactly does the instant verify work? Do they check the name or do you just log into the bank account to prove to paypal that youre the owner? Might be the only option at this point.

Cannot verify your info on instant verify? All you have to do is enter your bank account username/password.

Yeah, I tried it 2 times. I had the login page and everything on another tab... I think they ran my name through though. Since it was different on my bank account (real name) but a variation of my name on the paypal account. its soooo crazy :/

If it is a US bank account on some of them you have to manually set up insta verify password. Look into that if you has US bank.
