Package: Dead Mail / Sent to Mail Recovery Center
 
Customer took a while to contact me about the order not showing up (about 25 days). So I didn't catch it very early.


Tracking number goes like this:

Arrival at Post Office
Missent
Forwared
Dead Mail / Sent to Mail Recovery Center


So pretty much after I dropped it off, they sent it to Atlanta at the Recovery Center the next day or two. I have sent the Recovery Center a letter with tracking number, contents of package, how it looked like and to return to sender. Hopefully they haven't auctioned it off already :), it's a 300$ item.


After reading around the web, this often happens when the label gets damaged and they have no address to ship it to.

Anybody else experienced with Dead Mail / Recovery Center?

THey are generally very good with finding your stuff.
You should give them a call directly and leave them your number.

I tried, however nobody picks up.

After reading around he web, the phone number is just for show ( nobody picks up ). They require a written letter it seems.

The USPS Customer Rep also advised to mail letter. She said they don't even have a phone number :).

Never found.

They probably auctioned it off, and put the $$$ towards somebodies pension.

I also scheduled daily pickup for the past two months with USPS. Mail woman hasn't picked up a single package yet. Probably waits for the last day to pick them all up in one swoop.


Nothing short of amazing with these people...

hard to believe they are going bankrupt isnt it? esp. with the outstanding customer service they have. sometimes being cheapest doesnt mean its best
