This started happening from the beginning of May.

This is due to Olympics, Yes.

I have had 3 through this month, one charged £50 and the others £45! All marked as 30usd!

I am going to have all packages posted via DHL, even if it is a bit more expensive it is definitely worth it...

it happen to me as well, all my parcels mark less than 40usd, but got charge £30, seem like DHL is cheaper now cos DHL normally only charge me about £10.

EMS has got my last 3 strate rhru. no probs. 5 days from pick up to delivered!

Normal ems is dreadful ATM. To get them through fast you need your supplier to use hk ems speed post , however the packagers are landing with charges but it's better than waiting weeks!!

How did using dhl go ,None of my suppliers will use it, said its been to much trouble in the past

My aliexpress standard shipping orders arriving in about 2 weeks. Smaller items seem to get processed much faster than larger. Majority of delays occur China side during processing. Once on the plane final delivery is quick.
