Default Postman not making buyers sign for items

Had a buyer who messaged me and said that havent recieved there item from about 10 days ago and i have all the tracking of the items i sent that day on one reciept

So i checked all the tracking numbers on that reciept (about 15) and 3 of them say being proccesed through our network of delivery ,days 10 after i sent them 1st class recorded and no other buyers have said they havent recieved there item

So i was wondering if the postman dosent bother to get the buyer to sign for the item and just puts it through the post box will the tracking just stay as being proccesed through our network of delivery

If it says "progressing through network", it hasn't been delivered yet.

Wait 15 working days from posting. If still showing this message, put a claim in for your money.

Give your buyer the benefit of the doubt, Royal Mail can and do cock it up on a regular basis.

Yes it will never show as delivered if the postman doesn't do the job properly.

Some will scan it in as delivered and sign for it themselves, others just don't bother at all. I find it a bigger problem if the item can fit in the letterbox.

Postmen hate everything that involves knocking on doors!

You can however claim back the 95 pence from Royal mail for every signature they fail to collect.

3 of the tracking numbers i have still say say being proccesed through our network of delivery after 10 days and only one buyer contacted me and hasnt messaged back since 7 days ago one of the buyers has even left feedback

If they dont change to delivered by 15 days i will be claiming for a loss as the ammount of money i spend using royal mail a week for them not to get it signed for is a joke

Most the items i send are letter or large letter sized so i reckon the postie"s just stick them through the door if no one answers

Im fed up with royal mail not getting my parcels signed for, I have a whole pile of tracking receipts that i have to claim on.
Most of my parcels also can fit in the letter box so this is why i get the 'progressing through the network for delivery' for most my parcels.
Also have had a few boxes not signed for, they obviously rip the tracking sticker off the box to get away with this, and then we get rubbish stars for overcharging on delivery, because our buyers pay for signed for, but they didnt have to sign for it

They also make this long claim forms to try and put us off claiming on items!
