I called in to pay mine - this sounds ridiculous but I found that the same weight / description / value declared for DHL and UPS packages, I would incur more customs charges from DHL!
How it works god knows. Had a package come yesterday, declared at 180$ - no charges....!!! Eh?!

Thinking to ask my supplier to declare it at slightly less value

Do they hold it for 24 hours like DHL until the duty is paid?
The package you had at $180 - expect an invoice to be posted to you. I had something similar. Eventually received an invoice for customs duty about 40 days after delivery.
well let me ask you this how do packages always come to my freind in the USA he never pay import duty? smaller boxes so prolly all by air but still nice size like for example say 4 ps3 box size ontop each other
