Default does this mean no customs charges?

im awaiting a parcel from my father in law from usa he sent as gift although they are high priced gifts i just wandered will it show on tracking if i will recieve charges and also from my tracking info any ideas when ill recieve it, was sent priority mail via usps

Depends on what value your father in law declared for the item. And if it is high valued, you will have to pay 20% tax depite customs clearence process completed.

I dont know about UPS, but DHL will only release the shipment once they call you & collect the customs charges via phone or you have to pay the delivery driver or at the local sorting office.

Fedex delivers the item to you, then sends a letter by post saying you have to pay 'X' amount as customs charges.
