dhl clearance event

Hi everyone, I ordered a dslr from Hong Kong just under two weeks ago and it was meant to arrive in less than 7 working days. I've checked the tracking number and it has been under "clearance event" for just under two weeks! We contacted dhl and they were next to useless. When I clicked on further information on the tracking page, it said "DHL needs further information from the importer". Can anyone tell me what has happened to my package, because it is quite important.

It would seem that DHL need more information from you

I would give them a ring again, they are usually very helpful, and ask what information they need

You will just need to provide the waybill number so that they can see the details they need related to your item.

Are these goods 'questionable'?

there wouldn't be anything suspicious apart form tax and VAT, but there is no invoice for tax related to the waybill. DHL did call me, as they wanted a copy of the invoice and we called a week after the clearance event first popped up and they said just to wait.

Under declaring is more than enough reason for your item to be held.

You can give them a ring to chase it up, but these things tend to take as long as they take. In future I would declare the correct value.

Thanks, I think it may have been a grey import, just had a call from the seller saying they would give us a 10% discount when the package arrives and assured me that it would arrive , so finger crossed!

Hope it works out OP - that is a long-ish type of delay with customs....Aug 24th until now? Here's hoping it wasn't seized (just being honest)
