Default Anyone else having trouble ordering USPS padded flat rate envelopes?

I've had an order placed since august 30th for the maximum I could order which is 90 (6x15) and usually I this many last me about 4 months or so and usually I get them in a couple weeks tops, usually its about 6 or 7 days.

But as of the 15th I still hadnt recieved them or gotten the shipment confirmation email so I though maybe I had messed the order up or maybe it was taking so long since I ordered the maximum amount. So I went back in and did and order for 30, today I recieved 1 package of 15 envelopes.

Im not even sure which order these were part of since I have no shipment confirmation emails from either one.

Is anyone else having trouble getting these? I odered some of the legal flat rate cardboard envelopes in between these two orders and I got those in about a week or so like normal.

This is normal.

It can take quite awhile to get all of your orders. Not only are you ordering, but so am I ...and many others.

Those padded flat rate envelopes are in demand and will take quite some time to be delivered, but you will eventually receive them.

The delivery times vary as it is based on how much supply is available at the local warehouse.

Its because they are no longer producing the "old" ones... Good news is the new ones are rolling in and all back orders coming in. We use them a lot, over 100 a month...

4 cases of 90 came last few days and now I am finding them stocked at post office for anyone to grab. Im sure it wont last long though when they realize people will abuse it by using it as package insulation.

Good to know that they are starting to roll in. I did notice that the 15 I got looked different than the last batch I had. Maybe they will have some at the post office if I run out before I get mine, they usually dont though. You are right about using it as packing insulation I have recieved several items that have had these cut up and used as bubble wrap or left whole and just stuffed in around the item.

Have you contacted USPS directly to sort out this affair too?

This must be the reason USPS is always backed up. They can't get Dmshark's orders out fast enough!

Thanks for the Holiday reminder though, I just ordered another set. I don't quite meet the 400-600 volume you're doing, but I do need a few :-)

It took about 3 weeks for my last order to get here and I actually got an email from USPS telling me that they ran out and will need more time to process my order.

Always call the App takes forever, and for some reason the App on the iPhone has 100 and the android u can only order 15 at a time

I use them for all my items so I need a lot and started sweeting a couple weeks ago but the day I had 200 items to ship 7 boxes of a 100 were at my door.

But forget the app and call in , I never had an unpleasant conversation and they were always there within 3-5 days

It's funny I opened a thread on this months ago ever since than they been on point and my demand grew 10times, it always helps to be friendly with the people at the post office your local courier who sometimes offers to take my order if there dropping off when I'm leaving ,

Never go into a post office with a hundred packages and an attitude, I bring them donuts , pretzels, lunch once a month than once a week in December

And always be polite on the phone. You need to think of them as your employees almost they are critical part of ur business so treat them good

Best approach to aid your own business. Be respectful to those who you need to let you sell.
( except ebay/paypal .

Works great to be on good terms with the postal service.

Mail always gets through.

Saturday is my big day of the week , today I sent out 126 packages and mail man that comes to deliver mail made 2 trips to my house and picked up 30 packages I had ready in the morning and the other 100 later in the afternoon, which was awesome, for some reason i would rush and drive to the post office every Saturday and it was one that I'm not familiar with the staff , it's the only one in my area opened till 4pm Saturday and walking in with that many packages made me uncomfortable and definitely unwanted, one of the only business in the world the more money u spend the more u are hated on by the staff.

Anyway all week I started scheduling pick ups using my iPhone App and wow makes me wonder why I never did this before.

Just found out why my postman is so happy to do pickups, even though they have to come to my house to deliver mail when u schedule a pickup they get a slip and than earn extra pay in their check

So for now on I'm avoiding post offices all together, they don't even want me to load it in there van, u simply give them everything and they are happy to do it and no more crazy postal experiences

LOL

Sometimes my PO tells me if you have more then 100 boxes do not bring them through the front door. We will leave cart wheeled cart on the loading dock out back for you.

Then I asked if no clerk is there to wheel in inside and I leave how do I know if the boxes are going to be safe.

Clerk tells me, oh dont worry no one ever steals anything.

I loaded the boxes into the cart and saw a door bell at the single door. Rang it when I was done.

Clerk - Why did you do that? To let you know I was done.

Rolled eyes and wheeled cart in.

Sometimes you have to push people to do things the right way and no way in heck was I leaving 100s of boxes on the dock.

According to my offsider, the service he gets at his local Post Office in WA state is outstanding.

Supplies always available and few hassles.

More Post Offices need that attitude.

Friday I had a big box sitting on my porch when I got home from USPS and I thought hooray all my envelopes but i opened it up and it only had 30 in it, still its something, they are trickling in slowly here but I dont go through them so fast that Im in dire need just yet. I will definetly call and order in the future though, Im still about 75 shy of how many I have ordered so Im gonna wait til the end of the week and see what comes.
