Default Worth setting up Paypal if only offering collection only?

Ok, been awhile since dabbling in eBay Stealth accounts.

So I'm looking to only offer collection (no Paypal), as I sell bulky items. But usually, all of my items are delivered to the customer.

Can I just set up a new ebay ac without linking it to PP?

Thanks.

PayPal is a mandatory method of payment for eBay UK, be it collection or not.

They expect buyers to pay via PayPal, collect the item in person (and hope they dont chargeback).

Sadly eb increased the reliance on pp by getting rid of other accepted methods of payment :( unless you get a merchant account going these days

You will need a paypal to be able to sell.

However you can stipulate that it's cash on collection only. I always use a designated ebay account for items that are cash on collection.

I wouldn't risk it using my main accounts as too many buyers don't read the listing and could pay using paypal. Then you have to refund and it opens you up to a negative.

Thanks for all the replies.

I'll just set up PP then, but will only mention cash on collection as I don't want to face any possible chargebacks (or line PP's pockets!).
