Activity: 0% Longevity: 48% | | Abusive buyer
A buyer bought an item from me beginning of Jan, item sent as normal and have proof of delivery with signature. Buyer opened a case stating he did not receive the item, signature not his - demands his money back immediately.
Having contacted Royal Mail, they conducted their investigation and confirm to me in writing that parcel was delivered to stated address confirmed by gps coordinates.
Explained this back to the buyer, who does not want to understand, became abusive calling me all sorts of names, then closed the case himself - told me to "keep the money!" Filed "abusive eBayer" report to eBay, 3 times without any response.
Buyer now opened another case "item arrived damaged" but continues to state in the case that he never received it. Scanned and attached copies of receipts & letter from Royal Mail, told him to take it up further with them if he wishes - although he states he contacted RM and they told him that, me , the seller never filed an enquiry!! (Pure lies!)
Whats everyones suggestion on how to tackle this now?
Buyer requested my contact details via eBay, has my real number but stealth address.

File a police report on him and let him know that they will investigate it further and that ebay will also get involved for his abusive behavior. Will shut him up REALLY quick.
Put his personal detail in the email like this:
"just to clarify that your info is:
Jerk off
246 asshat lane
Douchville UK 81T CK?" (Use their info obviously)
I want to know because I will be filing a police report as I see this is becoming an issue and while I am doing everything in my power to work with you, I am protecting my funds, account and feedback. You claimed you did not sign for the item, which, on your end, is fraud thanks to the RM investigation.
Also, you are on the verge (If not crossed the line) of manipulation and harassment. I have and will be submitting all proof of our conversations to the following platforms to protect myself: Police, Ebay and paypal.
Any further correspondence will be forwarded directly to ebay/paypal
Good day."
They want the item and the money and are trying to bully you out of the sale.

I would just concentrate on winning the damaged case, so ebay need pics for that, plus he is stating not received anyway, all this must be re-iterated to ebay...they may not help, but so far they seem to have cooperated with you....
I agree writing abuse is not clever.....I had a threat once, I reported it to ebay, and ebay did nothing to ban the ebayer.....had to sort it myself, and that was too funny.....(remember you have their details)

Just out of interest, which Royal Mail service did you use? I previously contacted Royal Mail and they said couldn’t tell me the exact address an item was delivered to.
As for the abusive messages, if you go on eBay live chat and report the buyer that way eBay will send them a warning. It might scare the buyer into stopping but then it might not. You could also threaten to report them to ActionFraud if they persist.
If I remember correctly from experience item not received as described/damaged and wrong item received requests are usually all automated in favour of the buyer in the eBay system. eBay will ask the buyer to return something (or nothing in some cases). eBay’s excuse is they don’t have the luxury of seeing the item the buyer received, or something like that. Is the buyer still stating they didn't receive the item in the comments of the request? If the buyer has admitted it there go on eBay live chat and stress it to them, they should forward it the chat to the relevant department for you.

Thank you for all your messages guys.
I used Royal Mail First Class Signed For. Having studied his signature, it actually looks like the letters from his surname, so I do believe he has signed for it himself.
I called eBay today and explained the situation, who said they will take action against him. I assume probably just a warning email or something.
The case is still open until 8th Feb, and they have advised me in the meantime not to reply to him anymore and to call back on 8th to escalate to eBay. Don't know why they can't just do it today!
He has confirmed in this case, that he doesn't have the item, I quote "I don't sign for it", although reason for this case "item damaged" which makes it invalid.
I will be reporting this as fraud & to the police if he continues, as he has been ringing my mobile all day yesterday!

poor you, this person sounds unhinged, because usually scammers do not get abusive and call you off the hook, they just play the system with lies, knowing it is weighted in their favour and that is it.....
I get that the buyer still says not received, but they also changed the issue to damage too??? the damage claim, it would fall under SNAD case but it is normal to ask for pics of damage before a refund or return, because often a business does not want a damaged item back as it is unsellable and will claim from the carrier, but need evidence pics, so make sure you make ebay case understand this.......it is the norm for damage.
