Default Trying to make payment Verizon Mifi

Hi I am trying to make a payment through verizon using the 5 dollar pin code. but when I call Verizon..and use their automated service to give them the pin number like I normally do for this flashed device, it never gives me an option to make a payment. It just says "you need to make a payment by this day..good bye."

Anyone have any input on this? Thanks

Yankee you got me confused about that one... What's google voice have to do with Flashed to Verizon 3G?

I let my MiFi service run up a long time ago so I cant talk on that one... But I still call 888-294-6804 to add my $5 refills to my flashed phones, it should be the same for MiFi. I just tried it right now and it still gives the option to add refill card number. If that doesnt work then.... No clue

Dial 866-U-FREEUP or #PAY (#729) from your phone and follow the prompts.

I use the #729 from the phone but I'm guessing that wont work for you. But you could try the 866#

I am using the service that they told me to use. I am using the same number nate just posted. They just never give me the option to make payment. My Mifi still works, its just no option to make payment. Does that means that they are aware my device is flashed they just haven't shut it down yet? I've been using that number and $5 refill card to make payment on this device for over a year now. No problems until today ..problem being no option to make payment is prompted when I enter my device number when I call the number nate just posted.

I have never paid the monthly fee. They last at least 6 months and often more without paying anything. When the phone number attached to the device eventually expires, I just get the mifi reflashed for $25.00

I only added $5 to my MiFi every 90 days once it would only connect to 2G but I ended up just giving up on it and let it die.

With the flashed phones you can get unlimited calls and text for $15/month so I doubt its a google voice number. But who knows...

I have never used a flashed phone before. I use mifi daily for everything really. Stream TV etc... Never an issue until the number expires. Have multiple mifif so no big deal to get one remote reflashed for $25 when needed every 6-10 months

Hello... Just wanted to post my experience in case it may help somebody... I am still a little confused but at least I hopefully got it renewed for another month.

I bought a flashed 4610 device off of eBay in March for around $60... it was on the $5 per month plan but came with two months free service so the first due date was May 24.... I could call the VZW number (1-888-294-6804) that came in the specific instructions (i.e. don't call Verizon, don't set account up online, etc.) and the recording said ".... your due date is May 24, your balance is $5.00 etc.... To add a pin press, etc." So fine I'm all set I think....

So then around about May 24 I go to add the $5 pin and I call that number and the recording doesn't give the option of adding a pin, but just says, "You're on the $30 per month plan, please make a payment to restore service"... Now it was about 2 days before the expiration and the device was still working but I was getting worried. So I tried to contact the eBay seller (whom I had contacted earlier for troubleshooting) but he wasn't responding to me at that time and had no mifis for sale on eBay any longer at that time.

So I contacted another eBay seller who reflashes the devices by mail-in thinking worst-case scenario that's what I'd have to do... After I told him what was going on he said I should be okay, and wouldn't need to reflash. But I asked him how could I add the pin and told him about the recording. Then I asked him is 1-888-294-6804 the Verizon number I should be calling? He said he always uses 1-866-ufreeup to add PIN#.

So I call 1-866-UFREEUP... it's the same Verizon female voice but instead of saying "You're on the $30 plan" I get the ".... your due date is May 24, your balance is $5.00 etc.... To add a pin press, etc." so I add the pin and I call it again and now it's updated and I hear ".... your due date is June 24, your balance is $5.00 etc.... To add a pin press, etc."

Okay, so fine, I'm good to go for another month...... So now this month rolls around and a few days ago both the 1-888-294-6804 number and the 1-866-UFREEUP numbers are now both giving me the "You're on the $30 plan" with no way to load a PIN ...

So this time I get ahold of the original eBay seller and now he tells me to "go to my website drwireless.us/pinvz it will redirect to callingmart.com" and there I find a dialogue box to enter a 10-digit Verizon Wireless account to add the $5 service to. So I entered the number there and ordered that and hopefully it works this time, but just wanted to share this experience in case it might help someone else, and also to see if anybody knows exactly what's going on with these devices and Verizon.

okay I'm about ready to give up on my "flashed" mifi.... 30 days later, my miFi just quit working, I can connect but no internet.... Now calling the Verizon number I enter my 10-digit number and Verizon has no record of my device.

I'm getting a legit mifi, or a separate cell phone for each stealth. This $5 a month sounds like a great deal but the stress of always wondering when is it going to stop working just ain't worth it to me. Flash this!

Who did you get the flashed device from? A seller on eBay? What seller...

I'd recommend GLSelectronics on ebay... He flashed 2 phones for me that lasted almost 2 years. One I let someone use and they forgot to add a refill card and the other I let expire.

I just had him re-flash a MiFi I had last week and so far so good... It works...

verizon did a nationwide update last week and killed many if not most flashed devices. Also, now you cant go 6-9 months without paying the $5 per month.

Just get it reflashed and it will be faster than ever! Seriously. Worth the $25.00 and 20 minutes of time.

So thats what happened to the device my friend forgot to add the pin to... She was about a week late, tried to add it yesterday and the phone said error when dialing #PIN (#746). I called the 1-888-294-6804, and the 1-866-UFREEUP numbers and got the dreaded reply "Verizon has no record of this number".

So I asked her, "Does the device still have data or is it dead".. She said dead...

I thought she just had bad luck... I've gone close to 90 days without adding a pin and never had a problem..

But thats what happens when you let someone use your sh!t. They dont listen to anything you tell them, wait for the device to stop working and they have no way to connect to the internet before the call and ask you what it was you said they needed to do again to add data to the device...

People suck!

Who do you use for reflahing Nate? I have been using Ryan Dean. $25.00 but he is hard to get a hold of and seems to only work a few hours in the afternoon.

@Yankee

I've used GLSelectronics on eBay for 3 flashes... He doesnt like to talk much but he will answer questions once a day only through eBay messages, he wouldnt give contact info outside of ebay.

Then I used this guy Rich in Kansas. I've had him remote into a VM to flash remotely but he couldnt get the connection to stay open, it might have had something to do with VMware. Didnt feel comfortable giving access to whole pc but he didnt need it anyway. The way he does it he only gets remote access to the USB port I grant him access to on the PC.

He can build all kinds of sh!t using Verizon IP's and Phone numbers.. He services posters and telemarketers or something.

I got it from ezwirelessus on eBay. He was somewhat responsive at times, but at other times, no response at all. I may try getting it reflashed, idk. Perhaps GLSelectronics.... Thanks for the responses, nate & Yankee

soooo.....some parts of the country will no longer have 3g service from what I am gathering. 4G is completely different and supposedly a devise will last years if you pay the $5.00

I thought the same thing about 3G disappearing.... It was gone here in Florida... All I could get was 1x... But GLS figured out a way to force 3G on the device...

4G suppose to NOT give verizon IP's and some have a Dedicated IP... Keep that in mind... Ask b4 u buy...
