Paypal recent update, could this mean the end for stealth?

About three days ago, I came across this message from paypal, A notification regarding a recent update stating that paypal would start collecting browser data, what my question is this, for those of us using proxies and VPN, would paypal be able to detect from the browser data, if yes, could this be bad news? can this mean the end of stealth?

Threads like this sometimes end up getting into a lot of people about tracking and we woudlnt want eBay or PayPal to easily see it.
