How do i start selling 500-900$ items?

Acc is 9 moths old no problems so far.
But i want to start selling much more expensive items (3-4) per month.
I can get invoices (chinese)

I'm i risking the account?

It's always a risk selling that expensive of a product.

you may try with 1 first. Ship fast, get positive feedback, repeat.

A lot also can depend on what is being sold - trademark, knockoff, electronic, digital...etc OP

On a nine month old account with a selling history, I'd say you're relatively safe to list the expensive item. Just to play it safe and hopefully avoid invoice requests I would only do 1 the first month, then slowly build on that moving forward.

Don't do it. If you can't guarantee that eBay will side with you in case something happens, you will lose your money to fraudulent buyers.

Think about it in a different angle, does eBay just ban anyone wanting to sell something expensive? No.

It's more about how the account was madfe, the history of it, etc.
They just want a legit person to sell it.

Stay away from popular products like Apple, Samsung, etc.. Your just asking to be flagged.

It really does depend in large part on the type of items youre planning on selling - some are far riskier than others.

So far my items have been cheap 30-60$ mostly cosmetics.
Does it matter if i ship the item directly from my china warehouse?
I'm not drop shipping i do have the items stock.

If the items ship directly from a Chinese warehouse and you aren't living in China, then you're dropshipping and I would avoid doing that at all costs. At least until you have a dozen or so successful sales under your belt for this particular expensive item.

An expensive item + a tracking number showing the item posted from China = very high chance of an invoice request from eBay or Paypal.

Cosmetics are always considered high risk since they are health related products. really don't recommend international dropshipping.

Another thing also is that you are buying cosmetics from China which usually the quality is a concern. Can you make sure that what you 're selling is very high quality? And won't cause health issues?

No i sell eu made cosmetics.
The item i want to sell is electronics but its 20kg so shipping it to usa and then from usa to
usa customers would be too expensive.

So previously you used to sell around average $40.

Now what value are you planning to sell?, for example if its 10x the value, at $400 each, then i'd sell no more than 1 a month. But even then i'd be cautious, because that's a substantial leap.

The best thing to do is bridge the gap by slowly selling higher, and higher value items.

What draws their attention is a sudden spike. You're going to cash out and bolt. If you want to sell higher end items then you have to build. If you sell $400 a month then sell $500 next month, 600, 700 etc until they know they can trust you with thousand dollar sales.

My average is 3000$ per month. So if i sell few 500$ items isn't that the same regarding to risk? I also haven't had holds in months.

So quick update.
I sold one 450$ item and got this email from pp.

You received a payment from Ann B. We’ve placed the payment for this transaction on hold because you're selling an item that may potentially cause dissatisfaction with customers. Providing no issues arise between you and the buyer, the funds will be released in the morning on .....

The funds were released next day after the delivery.
So what do you think am i safe if i list 700$ item next time?
