Activity: 0% Longevity: 32% | | How many UK businesses got their Paypals limited this month?
Just curious as I was also limited 4 days ago after having a 12+ year Paypal Business Account and was even on the list to test the Paypal Mastercard 5 years ago.
I tried contacting their UK support line but was told the waiting time was 9 hours! Why so long? Am I not the only one to be hit by this limitation in the UK this week?
So I am just trying to find out if anyone else from the UK, now outside of the EU, was hit with this nonsensical limitation for such an old and active account.

I’ve not had an issue with any of my long-standing sellers accounts for personal use at the moment but if I do run into I’ll update...
That is an exceptionally long hold time for PayPal normally it’s only ever 10 to 15 minutes

What makes no sense is i've had this account for over 12 years and the money received has been pretty consistent throughout that time with no changes made to the account since 2016 (new bank account linked) so either this is an algorithm glitch or something that has happened on a larger scale and the only reason I state EU is because the wait time of 9 hours only seems to apply to the UK support number.

Have you been selling in the same categories all these years?
are you dropshipping or own your own merchandise?

Have you been actively trading for 12 years ? if you only started trading recently the account is as weak as any other account.
Has it been through all the checks ? supplier invoice, 6-12 month forecast / projections, ID + Utility etc ?
Does it have FUNDS NOW activated ?
Without those I wouldn't say it's a strong account at all. Especially in 2020. Paypal have trigger fingers now.

OP said it is an OLD and ACTIVE account.
It could be something he is selling or sold, they are known to buy something from you, leave no feedback, file no dispute but wham, you are limited.

In answer to all the questions.
Yes Paypal can limit anyones account for ANY reason and not tell you the reason. Although their terms have no legal weight in the UK they usually operate above legality and use those 'terms' as justification.
No its not a stealth account. Its a long standing account since 2008 but really started making a regular income in 2016 so actively trading since then.
Yes it had funds now activated but obviously not available now with it being limited.

PayPal does not limit accounts just for the fun of it.
This thread will be two pages long before you spill the bean for folks to realize that you're milking us for answers that you already have in your back pocket.
Read this stealth guide, buy accounts here and get on with your business.
Good luck.

Paypal restored and even though you dolts keep repeating this it was not a 'stealth' account. It's a long standing account since 2008 and was even one of those picked to trial the Paypal Mastercard 4 years before it released to the public.

All 'creative' accounts are getting hit HARD now. I feel its only a matter of time till we see more getting culled.

I know because I deal with a lot of them. They are just not as loud and confrontational as you which means they tend to listen to advise given to them and don’t refuse to believe that it’s never them at fault for an account get limited. Just my 2 cent | I'd have to argue that, with my 2 cent , as you remove any threads that speak about these new issues we are seeing with PP and UK accounts, so there is no enlightenment or discussion how to patch and create workarounds. Thats what the threads are useful for, nothing about being loud or confrontational, just open and honest.
