Has anyone been successful in opening new accounts?

There are many threads on here about multiple attempts to open new UK accounts and accounts getting terminated on first listing

I have my own theories as to why and I keep seeing postings about using IPBurger residential, VCCs from account sellers etc.

So, I am wondering if anyone has successfully created a new UK account using the prescribed methods that is successful and still actively trading after 3 months.

Also, if one was to buy an account from one of the sellers on here do they also get terminated on the first listing?

Most accounts get terminated on first listing.

You can reduce the risks by selling gradually. Used item first and low risk item first.

Yes, but why?

Are you saying that every 'normal' person (as opposed to a stealther) who opens an Ebay account gets it closed after the first listing?

With respect, that makes no logical sense at all. Ebay would be bust after a year and the press would be full of articles on how it was now impossible to sell on Ebay

I think what OP is discussing is something different. There are multiple people that have tried creating new accounts within the past 2 - 3 weeks and every single one of them are been suspended upon creation (I've had this happen to myself).

Some people are then getting the accounts reinstated if they are contacting customer service via phone (not possible at the moment due to phone lines not been open).

Even after all that, when they list their first item no matter how low value or second hand the item it. The account is getting suspended again.

It seems like eBay have taken on a new policy to suspend any new accounts immediately and you have to speak to customer service and go through some questions to reactivate your account. But even after all that, they are just suspending the accounts they reactivated after the first listings.

Yes, even a real persons account get suspended.

Suspension is not due to first listing, it is due to a lot of other factors. Like your IP, cc, what you sell, ebay want to know more about who you are and about your business. So i think 70% of accounts may get suspended after first listing.

That I'm afraid, is simply not true.

2 days ago I opened an Ebay account with one listing. A friend bought that item and the funds are in Paypal (albeit with a 21 day hold) - no shutdown, no 'we need this from you' - just account open, Paypal open, one listing, 24 hours later one sale - so why?

Please bear in mind I know nothing - I simply do not subscribe to the theories expoused on this forum - I'm a logical person and logic tells me a lot of the advise and work rounds given here are in fact valueless - but then I have nothing to sell on here -

If you have the capability to create accounts and appear 'normal' then you'll be fine. Very few here have that ability, most are not even residents of the country they're trying to create accounts on nor have a bank account and ID to verify the account or open a paypal account.

Like the sellers of accounts, I can create an account this afternoon and list on it tomorrow. It will not be suspended because very few real accounts are.

The reasons who so many fail is a long list and if you fall foul of any one of that long list and you'll be scrutinised.

I've given up trying to guide ebay noobs on here, most are short term chancers wanting to cut every corner possible and spend as little time and money as possible to peddle their wares. Many are simply low grade dropshipper wanabees. If you see ebay, genuine or stealth, as a long term proposition then you need to put some effort in.

I agree with your comments to a certain extent, in that some people like myself are only here to try and open a stealth account because my main eBay account which I had from 2008 got suspended. I am not trying to scam people nor am I one of the ones that isn't in the main country. I don't even want to drop ship.

All I want to be able to do is open up a new eBay account and sell second hand items I have to sell. I reside in the UK and have ID, valid address, credit rating, absolutely everything I would need to open up a new account. But even then, eBay at the moment are suspending any and all accounts immediately.

Now I'm not sure if this is because I tried to open up a business account rather than a normal user account but any attempt I have made, it has been suspended.

Not sure where to go from here to be honest, trying to open up new eBay accounts seems like a lost cause at the moment.

I would let the account mature before you start selling and start by buying items that you actually want to get some feedback and don't list anything until at least 4 weeks nut buy things like stationery etc that you will end up using and then list a cheap item after at least 4 weeks.

Also search through listings because that shows up on your ebay account so ebay thinks your a buyer and not a seller selling from the word go

Is this what people who are non stealthers and just want to sell bits and bobs on Ebay have to do? Or is is just stealth accounts = just wondering the reason for it
