eBay Account Suspended after 2 sales??

Hey guys! I'm new here. I've been reading this forum on and off and it's been very helpful~

So to give some background I had opened an account when I was 14 years old to start selling, and up until now I had made over 100k in sales on that account, half of which I had done in the last 4 months during the lockdown. Out of nowhere eBay slapped me with a restricted and I had to send in my info and once I did they flagged me for opening under age of 18 and closed my 5-year-old account..nooo!

They told me I could make a new account so I did a couple of months ago and recently I sold 2 items and all of a sudden the account got restricted from selling. When I tried to call in they said I cannot appeal and this decision is final. I can buy but no sell anymore. I got this email:

eBay is built on trust, and we want our marketplace to be safe for both buyers and sellers. We reviewed your account because of concerns with your selling activity. Based on our review, we've taken the following actions on your account:
- Indefinitely removed your ability to sell. You can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.
- Removed any of your listings. A list of any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
- All fees paid or payable for listings that are ended and/or hidden from search will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.

You can still bid on items, buy, and complete transactions you have in progress.

If you think we’ve made a mistake, or someone has accessed your account without permission, please contact us as soon as possible. To reach us, go to eBay.com and click the “Help & Contact” link at the top of the page

I soon realized it is not a smart idea to run a business on a monopoly that can shut it down immediately, so I switched over to Shopify and other selling methods

But as far as eBay goes:

1. Is there any reason I should be upset about this? I know I can still buy and I'm thankful, but I'm just bummed my personal account got banned


2. Is this normal to occur and is it worth my time to call every day and fight or send email and/or physical letters or anything to get my seller account back and explain the age situation from before? No major defects or anything so was a bit confused as to how it happened. (ADD ON QUESTION: Should I claim my account was hacked or something)


3. Is stealth worth the time and cost if I just want to sell as a hobby or leisure once in a while or is it just better using Mercari or other platforms in that case?

I know a bit about this stealth game, but I was always curious to how many people are actually in the same boat as me and how they overcame it

1. Being upset accomplishes nothing.

2. You're done, you're not going to be able to sell again on eBay under your legitimate info ever.

3. Depends on how much of that $100k in sales over 5 years was actual profit and only you know that.
