MC011 - Account Suspended, All Listings Deleted, Upload tracking to restore account

Just received this on a 15 year old account, after a similar suspension back in the summer of last year, which I successfully appealed. They took down all my listings, I had to resubmit tracking numbers (which didn't make any sense as I purchase all of my postage directly through eBay, so I resubmitted the same numbers they already had)...then they restored my account.

I'm just wondering what could be triggering this. I have 100% positive feedback, have been Above Standard this whole time, 2 transaction defects/return requests (out of ~100 items sold this holiday season). Late shipment rate is a fraction of a percent higher than their 7% target but this was caused by USPS delays due to holidays & COVID.

After the two rounds of stimulus checks, my sales exploded in April-May 2020 and Dec 2020-Jan 2021, with about 100 items sold in each period. Sales have been slow in other times of the year. I'm wondering the suspensions were triggered by sudden explosions in sales, and eBay being concerned you're not equipped to handle the volume. (But these volumes were not unusual in my 15 year account history, as my sales are affected by seasonality.) Either way, it's a negative experience.

You are VERY lucky you actually got your account back.

THe usps delay and your explosion in sales don't help the cause.
But something else could be the trigger to this.

My advice is to let this account rest for a bit and use back up stealth accounts to spread your sales and see what eBay does before going back to your original acc

Hello, I have an eBay account that I created about two years ago, but today I linked it to my Paypal account, activated with a real card, and all my data is correct
But when I linked it to eBay, my account was suspended

Good advice. This was already a stealth account which is why I was scrambling to sell as much as I could before the MP deadline (which for this account was officially Dec 31, 2020 but wasn't immediately enforced.) At some point I will need to register another stealth account(s) so I can continue selling.

It's still sad to part ways with a 15 year old, 5000+ feedback account though

Sounds like a good time to cancel that billing agreement. That'll team them to mc011 you... Hope your bill is 3-5k or something

Got the MC011 on a stealth account. Asking for basic details which I can cover (ID, Utility bills, and invoices of purchases). What are the percentages of getting back up?

I successfully appealed & got my account restored, but by then, my MP deadline had passed and I could not relist without signing up for MP (which I still haven't done.)

eBay using dirty tactics to force people onto MP.

These days with how accounts are... if the account is top rated, i would go for it. I've had success similar to Paypal 50/50

What did ebay ask for in the appeal? Was it only to resubmit the same tracking information? Or did they ask for additional documents?
