Anyone tried getting a solicitor to release funds? How did it go?

quite a few grand yes, violation of TOS - came from nowhere.

aslong as they didnt DEDUCT the balance the funds will be available in 180 days. so check your balance and go from there

I never did it through any solicitor, it would be interesting to know how it works.

Usually you wait for the 180 days to pass and you handle it with paypal directy. Sooner or later they will release your funds unless there is TOS break and they keep (deduct) the funds.

Most folk here are operating stealth accounts, selling dodgy wares/services or knowingly breaking their TOS. I doubt many have spend money employing a solicitor knowing they're on thin ice and understandably don't want to attract unwanted attention if it did get as far as a court.

Those who have genuine cases via a legitimate business or activity don't tend come here for advice, so maybe asking on an official forum would be more productive.

If the account is stealth or has definitely broken their TOS, IMO all you can do is apply pressure after 180 days have passed and see what you can achieve. If you're feeling confident in your legal right to the money then simply take them to the Small Claims Court which you can do yourself online.
