Activity: 0% Longevity: 40% | | How do i issue my own return label as a business seller?
So i googled this already and followed the step to stop ebay automatically issuing a return label. Well I just had my first return request, and it wasn't automatic, but when i manually went through it, it didn't give me the option to provide my own return label either, instead just asked me to confirm to accept, then confirm address, then ebay issued the label. Can anyone advise how to set the setting so that i can manually issue return labels?

What some sellers do is to ask the buyer not to open a case with Ebay ,then send him a return label with a different return address.
Or just close the case, let him keep the item .

Then, when you accept a return it allows you to upload your own label or choose an eBay label.
Theres no issue using eBay labels, just change your return address to the one you want to use. Theres no conflict, been doing that for ten years!

No point closing the case and allowing a keep in standard return cases, this would be a silly business strategy and as soon as people get to know this is what you do, you'll be giving free stuff away to all and sundry.

The reason why some sellers decide to close the case and let the buyer keeps the item is because he is arbitraging,he does not want Ebay to know the item comes from AMZN and will be returned back to AMZN,also it would be a black mark for his AMZN account.
Some sellers do ask him to delay open a case so he can give him an AMZN return label, the key is asking the buyer not to open a case. but wait for him to send him an AMZN return label.
It all depends on how valuable is the item,if it is just a few dollars, some sellers would just let him keep the item and book a loss.

The US does not have similar return laws as Europe/UK does.

I've been doing this when I was true stealth before managed payments so that customers didn't send anything back to a phantom address. That's in the past though. These days i'm using my real details so it's pointless.

Is 'RUBBISH' an English word? | Completely irrelevant as no one has said they are dropshipping.
The language you speak, albeit a b astardised version of it, is English, so you should know if it is an English word or not no?

As other have said you need to turn on Return Merchandise Authorization to give you time to decide how to handle the return.
How you can handle it depends on the reason for the return and who is responsible for the return postage costs,
If the buyer is responsible for the return postage costs (eg. they changed their mind) you can either refund with out getting the item back or give them a address to send it to, you will NOT get a option to upload you own label in this instance. A lot of buyers will not bother returning the item anyway in this case.
If the seller is responsible for the return postage costs(eg. the item is damaged, doesn't work or you sent the wrong item) you can either refund with out getting the item back, give them a address to send it to and ebay will provide a label, or upload your own courier/postage label.
For low value items its unlikely to be worth getting the item back so you can just refund them without requiring the item back.
If you want to make the buyer return the item you can either have them return it to you (or an address you control), send it a fulfilment centre that will handle the return for you and either dispose of it or resell it, or send it to a 'blackhole' address where it will be conveniently lost.
Unless your selling clothing, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or low quality products returns are rare as a percentage of sales.

Please explain this to BeachedHead.
His head is buried in xxxx.
------
You said-Ideally you should deal with any problems before a buy opens a return request, buy buyers are idiots and don't always contact you first.
NO
Buyers who request return are NEVER IDIOT,they know how to play the return game,INAD is a way of making you pay for return-
-They need a part so they strip it from your item and cry it does not work
-They play a game of EBAY RENTAL,wear it,use it ,then file INAD.
-They found a cheaper price somewhere.
-They just cant afford it,like they just lost their job,or their spouse is very sick.
