Amazon.CA New Verification required by 01-Nov-2025

Hey guys,

Amazon Canada is now asking me to verify its marketplace to continue selling. They have given 60 days. The deadline is 1st November.

Anyone else had this and got successfully verified.?

We need you to update your account information and provide documentation needed to verify this information as required by Canadian laws. If you do not do this within 60 days of this notice, your Amazon.ca selling account will be deactivated.

Please disregard this notice if you have already complied with our request and received an acknowledgement notice.

Why is this happening?

Under Canadian laws, Amazon is required to collect and verify information about you and your business, such as beneficial owners’ data, self-attestation or letter of authorization documents. For more details, visit our help page Information required to sell on Amazon.

How do I provide my information and avoid account deactivation?

Go to “Identity information” link available to you on the Account Health page.

Follow the prompts to update the required information.

Click “Save” and “Submit for verification.”

Please note that only the primary user or secondary user authorized with Confirm/change account information permissions will be able to certify the information.

What happens if I don’t submit all required information and documentation?

If you do not provide the required information and documentation within 60 of this notice, your Amazon.ca selling account will be deactivated.

Alright - so do you have a registered business on AZ or is it under your name?

its a ghost account under some individual. I dont have their details. Been operating it for some years. Its still active , deadline is 1-Nov-2025 to verify the Account.

I am thinking I should get the funds out by then and then try to verify it with someone else's detail, in case it doesn't work. what you think.

Agreed - get your funds out - keep account active with some listing that "won't sell" and submit the ID for the account and hope for the best. I have a guy outside the forum for Canadian ID that I use

So this account has never had your ID whatsoever?

Nah, its a ghost account mate. It only has my bank account attached to it.

Is this account just a Canadian acct, or is it a U.S. acct selling on Mex and Cnd?

I got that message for both my Cnd accts. The 1st I let lapse as they wanted stuff I had never heard of.

Now the 2nd Cnd acct has the request. Just going to let this one go too, since we are retiring at end of year.

My two US accts have the request for dot CA only. Going to ignore as I feel AZ has too much info of ours already, and just selling off until Christmas.

If I had to continue, I would hit up the AZ forums to see what others have done.

It's not easy to get verified, but not impossible too.

They have always been insane afaik, I tried to get on as a seller years ago and quickly gave up. I know it says Canada but I wonder if they will be asking US accounts to verify soon as well

Yes, they are asking US accts that sell in Canada for the paperwork only for the Canadian side. I hope when the suspend for the Canada side that they still leave the US side alone.

Its a US, CA, MX account. I see you been hit with the same. I will just wait until the last week of October as the account is still active and then see what can be done.

Just trying to get as much funds out as possible in the meantime.

Same here, I am thinking of using a relative's passport who has never been affiliated with Amazon in anyway. My relative is not a beneficial owner/director/trustee of the business though. I am just not sure if they will compare this info to my stealth US account and see that it does not match. I do not have any passport info for the stealth owner.

The email did say that they will shut down your CA side if not done.

Does not say that the MX or US side will be shut.

Time will tell soon enough.

No one knows, just sell as much as possible now and we'll deal with the issues later when they arise.

Hey guys,
I am currently going through the same issue with my stealth account on AZ.ca. I provided the basic details as requested, passport, bank statement and now they are requesting both a
registration extract
Self-Attestation Letters.

So I have managed to get through everything so far, except the Extract because they basically require registered business information that would need to match up with my stealth info i.e master business license. As this is easy for AZ to verify I cannot find a solution. Any ideas?
