Default WARNING - Amazon now automatically blocks new seller accounts

I just found out that Amazon now automatically blocks new seller accounts if you first register as a seller and not as a buyer.

I had one immediately blocked today when I tried to register 1st as a seller. Later in the day I created another acct. first as a buyer and then bought something from one of my other stealth accts.

I then listed something to sell as a seller on the same acct. and Amazon immediately ok'd my seller acct. without any problems.

You may not have to buy something first but I did so just to be safe. If anyone successfully registers without first buying please post it on this thread.

About a month ago I was asking if you could buy from yourself? Where were you then?

I have already posted about this a few days ago because the same thing was happening; http://www.aspkin.com/forums/amazon/...ts-all-ok.html

I have since then created 8+ sellers accounts for me and friends, every single one had the yellow box stating "alert! your account has been suspended etc"

Once you leave it for 4-5 hours or however long it takes they are all fine and up and running. Amazon is just verifying the address postcode and things match up to the credit/debit card etc.

You do not need to risk buying from one of your other accounts because you will just get linked again.

Anyone trying to use amazon needs to be careful with their approach.
These are the first of changes amazon will make to control you. ebay did it and so will amazon.

Think,plan,sell.

*also the thread title is an overkill: too dramatic*

I remember that post but I thought the question was if someone should buy from themselves within their own acct. i.e. John Smith uses his own John Smith Amazon id to buy from his John Smith store.

I don't do or recommend that one...what I do is use my old banned John Smith seller acct. to buy from my new, active Bill Jones acct. If you use prepaid cc cards with diff. stealth names then there will not be any issues.

Good to know...I will also try to open an acct. as a buyer first but without buying to see what happens & will keep everyone posted.

No what I meant was if my account was John Smith and it's the selling account and it's stealth. Then make about 10 different stealth accounts and buying everything from John Smith. Only reason why I asked is because some of my stealth accounts PayPal withdrawls are to a card. Then instead of having a bunch of cards I would make the purchases so they would be in 1 account.

That is what I do but with only my Amazon account. Thankfully, my ebay acct. is an orig. non stealth acct. so I dont have to worry except I only sell 1/10th on ebay what I get in sales on Amazon.

Do not buy from your own account if IP and name are the same. My account was supensded because i left feedback for myself. apparently one seller can only have one account as stated in the particeipant agreement. I'm trying to appeal by saying that i cant upgrade to Pro merchant (which is true) so had to create another new account ( Pro merchant)

This is UK Amazon though

Same in the US, you can only have one seller account.

just curious about something. i have had an account for about a month and a half. i have had a couple things listed with no luck. i decided to list a p90x as used yesterday and it sold almost immediately along with a book i listed. how long before i would be suspended if they were going to do it? it has been almost 48 hours since the listing and about 40 since it sold. would they have already done it by now? i have also listed a bunch of other stuff i just have laying around. so am i in the clear?

dakota - this is an old tread. I recommend you start a new thread

BTW - They can place you account under review at any time... is this a real P90x video?

Confirm the shipment and withdraw the funds. You'll find out quick if you're under review.
