Default Alternatives/New Address, customs seizure

A parcel being sent to my address has been seized, can I have another parcel sent to this address under a different name or will it still be seized?

What alternatives are there in the U.K. as I don't have any other addresses that I can get them sent to. Do PO.Box's allow you to have parcels sent to them?

Thanks,

ok, you cannot have parcels go to your address for a while, maybe 6 months...so check out a po box, its useful anyway, you can in addition make an extra account with the address, so not a waste of money necessarily.

If you want to go back to your real address at some point, maybe vary the name to be on safe side.

One-off seizures arent usually troublesome, try and keep parcels on smaller side, and of course work towards not having to order those goods, its a more relaxing way of life!

Thanks, really appreciate the reply. Is MBE a good place to have parcels sent to... do they restrict the size and weight that they can receive?

MBE is good if your accounts can warrant the high prices they charge. Youll have to ask them about the size issue, dunno........

My guess is that there was nothing wrong with the address, but that customs was suspicious of the package and that is why it was seized, but now the address is red-flagged

What do you mean by 'the name'?

Do you not put phone numbers on EMS parcels?

Recently yes. I've had two so far. One in June and now one in July - both parcels were going to completely different addresses, but came from the same supplier. So I guess the fault lays with the supplier. I've found a new supplier, and sending to a clean address. Hopefully it all goes well now.

What size parcels do you get in and how regualary do you change addresses?
