Ebay Stealth Account: Updating Phone # Is Necessary?

My question is, do you guys keep an updated and valid Phone Number on your eBay Stealth account, in case Ebay/PP calls you? I bought two accounts from lakeman, but since the Phone #s were ⊗⊗⊗⊗/made-up by the original creator, I would not have a way of answering the phone if EBay/PP called.

I know that there are two cases of phoning Ebay:
1) MC010 in which case you (the account holder) is asked to call up Ebay/PP to verify information such as name, address, etc.
2) Ebay Marketing (which is turned to "OFF" in Ebay account options, so that they won't hassle you with phone calls and seminars etc.)

***So Should I update my Ebay and PP accounts with new working (valid) Phone #'s just in case, to be safe? Because as I stated, the accounts I bought from Lakeman have bogus Phone #s..

Please wait for others to weigh in on this. I can only give you my OPINION.

If the accounts are new, I believe that changing phone numbers could draw attention. I'd wait awhile.

It is, in my experience, highly unusual for eBay to call. I try to keep active nuimbers on all my accounts, and have ONLY ONCE received a call from PayPal and that was on a legitimate account that I had moved a lot of money into. They wanted to know the purpose for the funds transfer.

Other than that, in over 40 accounts, I have NEVER been called by eBay or PayPal.

The only stories I hear about suspensions are if a buyer requests your information and then reports the phone number as non-working to eBay. This is relatively rare. And if that is the only problem with the account, putting in a new number usually fixes it. After all, people DO change their phone numbers for all kinds of legitimate reasons. It would be easy to forget to update eBay with the new number.
