Looking for a way to get $1500 out of my stealth account that IS NOT LIMITED.

My Indian business account that I verified with a VCC 4 years ago is currently holding around $1500. I am unable to get the money out because I do not have a matching Indian bank account with the name the account is registered with. And getting a new US bank account is going to cost way too much and I'm not even sure if I can do that with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. I'm not even from India myself.

PayPal recently implemented new features that restrict Indian users to only sending money out using a CC. Basically the only way to get the money out seems to be to register a business in India using the business name I used for my paypal and create a bank account. And withdraw the money.

Any ideas/suggestions? The account is not limited...

Are you saying that you cannot, for example, buy from my .co.uk domain and pay with your PP balance?

If that is the case that rather defeats the object of PP.

we do not have many India users, I see alot of other India forums on this subject though, inc the money exchange forums, although I think you need an EIC code to send to a foreign paypal, surely they would be of more help.....

The paypal worldwide page says Indian users should be able to withdraw to a card as well, yet that option is not on the list.

And yes, I cannot use the balance to buy anything. They made it very difficult for indians. Everything has to go through their bank. The money must be sent using a credit card.

I'm not familiar with the EIC code but will look it up. At first glance it seemed that the code is needed to withdraw to a bank account. Sending money off my account seems impossible.

I've even considered calling paypal and asking them to change my location. Once that's done I could transfer the money to another paypal account.


EDIT: Does anyone know if an US account was used, would the names on both accounts have to match? In either case, there seems to be a way to change the business name. That opens up a few new possibilities.
