Opening a bank account online..

Can someone tell me any good banks in the U.S. that are easy to open online, if you have all info like ssn, dob, etc. Preferrably ones that dont ask alot of credit history information. I remember opening a bank account for myself and they were asking about previous address, what my mothers middle name was, and even how old my sister was.

Ally by far is the easiest. I have banks with Chase, BOA and Citi but I have to say I like these guys the best! You are able to have mulitple accounts with the click of a button AND the reimburse all ATM withdrawls which is awesome! Works with stealth names and my money usually takes just a day or two to go from Paypal to the account!

I actually just tried BOA and your right they let me setup an acct instantly... Are they pretty secure at BOA far as identity protection ? Ive became very cautious about financial security

BoA is great at financial security - among the leaders from what I have seen and dealt with

Be careful with ally, I've read horror stories about ally asking about mismatching names and holding funds.
