Default Anyone still getting holds on new accounts

I have had some do this in the past but this month it seems to be an onslaught of them.

Getting accounts the the 25 fb and 90 days is the goal hoping they would stop the holds.

Working hard to get to those numbers and with tons of accounts this month hitting those marks and all of a sudden I get the email saying no more holds.

Sell something and the damn money is held again.

Anyone experiencing this on all of your accounts or just random?

I had 3 accounts do this just this weekend. Got the messages, no holds showing on the top of pp screen, sell something and money being held.

What is up with these people?

Yup, had this happen multiple times. For me, it took an extra week of selling for them to actually remove the holds even though they said they were already removed.

The holds take a little while to come off after notification, I also had holds taken off without notification as well.

One one account they sent the message, sold a couple minor items and no holds.

Sold an item for 25.00 and got a hold. Sold an item for 4.99 no hold. Sold another item for 75.00 put on hold.

No rhyme or reason.

actually i have an account that is almost 1 years old and I just now suddenly got a PP hold for "security reason" ---whatever--- but I hope it gets removed soon. The account is in a good standing with no cases and 100% positive feedback and great sdr's so I am unsure as to why this came my way. Im staying positive as fortunately I am not relying on eBay to pay my bills so I can wait the 21 days. I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

Yeah This has been happening lately A LOT! I have experienced this over multiple accounts. Maybe this is a new procedure they are doing for 2012. This barely started happening to me starting last weeks of JANUARY 2012 but in 2011 it was sporadic here and there

Don't forget that source of payment can also play a role - like with credit card payment source for example...

February brought holds back, on some of my accounts.

Even when you have holds, some payments are instant sometimes. I was thinking maybe they checked out as Guest or something like that, probably not thou.

i used to get mad about the holds but now i dont sweat it. i usually leave the money in paypal until about 3 or 4 days after an item is delivered anyway so the holds dont really affect me since they come off once the item shows delivered

I got more of this today.

Account with 35 fb 120+ days hold and no holds, got the message a while back that it would not be held.

Then

Sold an item for 7.95 no hold.

Sold an item for 24.95 got a hold.

Does not make any sense at all.

Add one more.

Account with 45 fb, no holds.

Last item listed 2 weeks ago.

100% all 5.0 except one 4.9.

No claims, nothing.

Listed an item with a buy it now for 22.00 and it got held.

last time sold for 18.00 was not held.

they are playing games with us folks so we do not know what is held, what is not held etc.

It depends on the item and what category it's in.

I sold a $180 item, held. Released after delivery.
I sold a $99 item - not held
I sell lots of $600 items - not held.

Maybe I'm paranoid but, it's so obvious why this all happens. Paypal makes money off all the money being held, the more money that's held the more money they make. This is the whole reason, they hold your money for 21-days they hold your money for 180 days. Paypal likes keeping your money, our goal is to take it back.

600 item and not held but they held a 180 item.

I sell in many different categories and lately it seems they are just doing this at random.

Why do they even send out their silly email saying your funds will not be held and then turn around and hold the funds after the email.

for pp for hold a 9.99 item is crazy on an account with 35 fb and 120 days hold.
