The age of account does not matter.
It matters whether you are a new seller.
eBay's definition of new seller means first sales.
Is this your first sale?
This is my experience.
When I first started selling on UK site, I think I had this 21 days hold.
After this initial period (did not last long), it was fine and there were no more holds.
I never got any holds selling on UK site after that.
There were times when I had no activity for a few months but I could sell again with no hold.
Then about 1.5 years after my first sale on UK site, I decided to try selling on US site as I noticed that most of my buyers were from US.
This was about 2 months ago only.
I had done about 200+ sales at this point and had 100+ feedback.
But all the sales from the US site got this 21 days hold again and there was a message saying that this is because I am a new seller with no established selling history.
So the individual sites see you separately.
On the US site, I am a new seller to them with no history and they feel the need for this security measure.
I vaguely remember that they said the hold would be removed if I provided tracking number or when the buyer has left positive feedback.
So these may be some ways you can get it removed sooner.
Do you need these funds urgently?
Otherwise, 21 days is not a very long time to wait.
They definitely release it after 21 days if there are no issues from the buyer.
