MC049 indefinite suspension on new account

New stealth account, operating 10 other accounts and never had a problem.

Its a week old account, paypal verified, so listed an item got an MC049 and expected an ID check with documents but got don't contact us again account suspended due to security issues.

Only thing I can think is the address was vague and the phone was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (we dont have phone verification) everything else done as per normal, different user account, email, address VCC. never got to produce ID so its not that.

Any ideas?

Maybe the phone was issue - you never got pin verification?

Phone verification never came up. When it does normally I'll get a sim that day but I've not had to do phone verification on the last few accounts. We can verify via mobile here.

High risk? no not at all an off the shelf item that can be bought here for less than Europe.

I'll start agin tomorrow and get aphone ready but you are normally prompted to do so, not out of the blue?

As you said, that address might have tripped the suspension.

MC049 is usually a dislike of some part of the account, in the eyes of ebay.

I think it could have been, no other accounts are effected at the moment and I don't have any banned ones.

I'll use a mates address and get a sim ready and see how we go next week.
I have 7 accounts on this computer with different users, might start spreading then to the laptop for the next lot.

Will do. Never had a problem before so was a bit shocked!

Just looking at getting back on iOFfer as well. had an account a few years back when no one paid and I never paid the fees so it got banned. Do stealth principles work same with ioffer?

To a point they do.

iOffer is less evil but only just.

They too can ban without warning/reason

IMO, every information you gave to them has to be real and can be verified by them no matter it is real for you or not.

What debit card provider did you use? In Thailand as far as I know you have Kasikorn and Bangkok banks.

I verified the PayPal with Entropay and it went through OK, so I used the same card for eBay.

I paid some fees ($300) off another epay account with an Entropay last month and that account is still OK.

It could be that the Entropay card number was used previously on another account that was suspended.

Sometime back, imjustme did bring up the issue that EP has re-issued card numbers. I would think this to be rare but given the amount of users and creation of sub-vcc's, it is possible. And if so, than that would be an alarming issue - Sausage have you tried to create another account in the same way right now to re-verify?

I did indeed have that problem in the past, actually with 2 different VCC providers. I ended up asking the VCC providers if those specific card numbers, which resulted in suspended accounts, had been issued before and they told me yes on all numbers. And all the numbers that had not been issued before, I did not have problems with.

Card numbers are indeed not endless, so as more and more people use them for eBay, eventually you will end up with card numbers that have been used before. And eBay saves all numbers used previously, they don't care if the name is different or the expiration date changes. To them, the same card is the same person and if that person was suspended, so will you.

I've not had time to do another account as just changing the name on the ID so i will get it done this week,I'll open the account today and verify when every things done and let you know.

It was a new Entropay card especially for the account and if Entropay are re-issuing cards then bugger!

I have a kasikorn account here where I can get a VCC but not sure if any name can go on them or if i can make multiple cards, if i can I may godown that route but will give Entropay another go an see.

I'll do a couple od ID's and maybe do one of each just to be sure I get something in the end.

As today, I prefer limited account because it would be easier to deal with them. If they give you unlimited account, they will soon stop you to confirm your identity.
