SO it looks like there after photo id copies .
If received check closer on sender details as it will appear to have come from ebay at first glance but on digging actual sender was a yahoo email address .
And its also not a very convincing MC notice .

Tricky I bet you it comes from Africa! But don't you hate it how they get our personal info for emails? Ebay should do something to cover this some day. To protect it's sellers. Thanks for the info.

I also think you should fwd this to ebay.

Check where the IP Address came from if you can.

I can do a better one with real email from them, or even have it showing as yours and not some yahoo crap. Thank god you found it. I am wondering where the IP Address is from. I did block every country in Africa so I don't get stuff like that!

Try to suck money out of the bank account or ID fraud, open up credit cards who knows.

Maybe call up the Embassy and stuff.

Maybe if it's from the US it's competition.

I sure it was obvious to you that this was fraudulent because your ebay account was without any sanctions. Also the MC notice didn't appear in your ebay messages either.

Since you are from UK and some scams from Africa are linked too UK! This could be from UK or Africa!

Do check the IP on it.

Very true.
But i did not check ebay messages for several hours on that acc and at a passing glance it looked real so did make me think here we go again ..
What did have me more puzzled it happened 10 minutes after opening a store on that acc.
Maybe coincidence .

Coincidence has a way of creating a false air of legitimacy to a scam

The first thing I noticed was the hokey email address support@ebay-identification.com

Ebay emails are always ebay.com addresses. Another thing, they would make you fax info in...never ask to send it over email.

Ummm I am heading out there on the 31st. A lot of Africans in there as well. I can't even dress up as I would when going there. I have to dress a bit more poor!

Yeah the email was a give away also but at first you are not sure and like "wtf is this?" I always put the mouse over any links and click reply to see what the return address is.

Most people fall for it.

EB and PP don't send "warnings". They close down everything you have and then ask questions later.

Oh yeah that's right, James Bond style. Shoot first ask questions later.
