Activity: 0% Longevity: 68% | | how many vero hits can a account take?
I've searched the forum but can't find a answer, so how many vero hits can a account take, I understand if you get a vero hit then you let that account rest for around 30 to 90 days then you can go back to it, but if you, in theory, get a vero hit every few months, do the vero hits expire or will they basically add together and get you banned suspended.
For example if I got 5 vero hits in a 18 month period would that close the account, I'm planning on making monster masks from well known horror movies, I'll state they are hand made customs but am still not sure if this is classed as high risk.
Thanks in advance.

The reason you haven't found a straight answer is because there is no straight answer. An aged account with a lot of solid feedback can take more vero's than a much less aged account with less feedback, there are also other factors we may not know about but this is the basic premise.

I think you'll be fine selling the mask. Vero is mainly looking for knock offs. Check to see if others are selling these types of mask too. If so, then you should be able to as well. Good luck

If you think that you are going to be allowed to sell a Mask of,,lets say Freddy Kruger (Form Friday the 13th) and that Paramount/New Line cinema (The Franchise(Rights) Owners) are going to do nothing about it just because you hand made the mask, or that your Freddy Kruger mask is wearing Glasses,,,think again,,because you are in for a VERY RUDE Awakening.
Im Pretty sure that the OP would not have started this thread if he did not already know that, the OP wants to know how many VERO hits an account can take before its shut down, only because he knows that those VERO hits are GUARANTEED to come

Thanks guys, there are plenty of people on eBay making masks from video games and movies some doing it since around 2008, what would stop the movie studios coming after them?

In the end...it's up to you to analyze the risk of the item your selling thedarkknight. It would seem you have made your decision before really consulting with the board and to that I will say...Good Luck.

Far from it, I don't want to keep getting vero'd. I just see people on eBay doing the same thing as me, I have a talent and would love to use it to make a small business. I'm not going to be selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or copies or duping people they are getting something that are not. I'd just live to know how other people are doing it.

Forget how others are doing things.
You are battling against a bank of computers.
What works for them may not work for you .
If you have an idea / product you believe in spread it across multiple accounts .
Then chances of removal are slim.

Do vero hits expire, or do they add up over time and get you suspended. Like I mentioned earlier will 5 veros over a year get me banned, I don't want to get banned or suspended, so how is the best way to do that?

I'm always amazed at how many people want to sell what belongs to someone else.
The real question should be, "I want to sell something that doesn't belong to ME, how long before Ebay catches on and Bans my account?" Quote:

Basically yeah, but I don't plan on selling anything ⊗⊗⊗⊗, the official versions of what I plan to make are terrible floppy mass produced stuff that seldom looks close to what was screen used, I want to make something the fans want, if i could afford the licence from the company I'd pay for it, but I can't. I just want to make stuff the fans will want, not lying to them. I'm making something I'm passionate about for people who share my passion. I just don't want to be booted of eBay while doing it.

Companies are very protective of who manufactures products that want to use their image or copy.
Even if you had the money you probably couldn't get a license. The big box guys have most of this covered.
I'm sure your quality is good and you can deliver.
Have you considered your own website, FB, Twitter, social sites, etc... to market your product?

Really I never knew that, I thought if you had the money you could buy the licence. I've thought about going the shopify route, but getting even 10% of eBay's traffic to my unknown shop would be really hard. Sadly there's nothing out there quite as big as eBay, real shame.

I understand that the studios don't really like it, but they don't seem to go after everyone, if you eBay search Jason mask, batman cowl, or Lego figure most are made by fans for fans. I dont want to sit here and be blase because I'm not I just want to see how to do it, as honestly as possible ( like I said via won't be lying to any buyers) without being booted off eBay.

Activity: 0% Longevity: 68% | | why rotate ebay accounts after getting a vero?
I've read on here a few times that after you get a vero hit you go to a second eBay account to let the first account cool down, then if that second account gets a vero move on to your third waiting account. Then after the first account has cooled you can go back to it.
What I don't understand though if you keep rotating like this and the first account keeps getting vero hits, even over say a 2 year period then that account will surely be suspended and the others will go down with it.
Would it not just make sense after a vero hit to leave that account altogether, close it, move on to the second and keep moving on after vero hits to hopefully avoid suspension?
Or am I missing something?

If you keep going back to the same account and it gets hit again, even if you let it cool its going to get suspended or banned as those veros are on your account record, would it not make sense to simply close an account after a vero and just open a new one?

My friend you really need to purchase the eBay Stealth ebook. You don't seem to have the basic principles down of stealth.
1. When we speak of multiple accounts...we don't mean 3 accounts that are linked to each other! We are talking about multiple SEPARATE accounts!
2. If you are selling an item that is going to get hit VERO often then you need tore-evaluate what your selling!
3. Get the Stealth Ebook!

Here's an even better idea.
Stop selling VeRo.
You can only go so far with this method.
Find other methods.
The End.

You have no clue about what VeRo is.
They most certainly do not just look for knock offs.
VeRo owners do not want their products sold....
They have strict rules.
