Got a call from ebay seller risk department

So got a called from seller risk department letting me know if I was who and telling me that I was going getting banned because looking at all the details from conversations, addresses, names I had other accounts that were banned and they did not allow this. He told me please don't create other accounts because we will ban them also.

Also he said I could not bid, buy, or sell on ebay forever and nobody could buy or bid for me. What an idiot at the part where he says nobody could buy for me.


Keep in mind I don't use this account to sell. I had it over a year. I only used it to buy stuff from time to time, but ebay is on the lookout for dormant accounts. If they told me to not create anymore accounts they know about us.

You are right Astralman, I just called up Ebay and said "Hello this is Smith" and before I could say anything else they told me to "Shut up! And that they know that my real name is David". They even had the nerves to tell me that if I create one more stealth account and Ebay's exact quote was, "Watch your back son"

Here's a trick...

When they call, make sure to get the name, username, etc of the person they think they are calling. Tell them you're in the car and to call back in 5 minutes when you're pulled over. In the meantime, open your doc/notepad/etc with all that information...

Of course this doesn't mean you will pass the phone call, but atleast you won't raise any more flags with them on the spot.

What do you think could have shown that you were linked to old banned accounts? Did you send out e-mails with old addresses? Did you have odd conversations?

is no way ebay know you are selling from multiples accounts in the same computer....Unless in some how their have access to the machine number or CPU Serial?,Dont know,i am just speculating.If this technologie are in ebay systems all our stealth accounts will be toast in matter of time

Yea my other accounts had same address and different name, but they were only for buying. I didn't sell anything. I was bound to get linked I knew it and I really don't care, but just wanted to share. I got banned at real address long time ago, but need stuff I ship here so I just buy stuff that's it. No selling. I guess I will never buy on ebay "wink wink".
