Default When should I phone eBay to up limits?

3year old account
Been selling bits n bobs on it.

Got serious with it last month and hit the 100/3.5k pretty quick.
Seems that the other week the limits were reset for the new month.

When is it right to phone to ask to up the limits?

Cheers

I wouldn't. Sell to your limits and wait for the limits to be raised organically.

Never a good idea to contact Ebay.

Never phone eBay unless you really really have to. So long as you sell to your limits each month it will increase naturally

if you really need higher limits

make some more accounts

this is better for many reasons

phone calls to eb ay could end in disaster

Make more accounts - spread sales - if you call, you risk being asked for ID verification or worse.

Do not do this.

Unless you are able and prepared to answer the questions and get them right or face the send the ID, address verification etc.

Ok cheers all

Well do they automatically up the limits if you hit them frequently?

If I hit limits a couple of months in row, will they up em?

Or do I have 100 sales a month forever?

Hit the limits every month or at least get as close as you can. You don't necessarily need to sell 100 items, just make sure you fully utilise the listings.

Many folk can get stuck on 100 items a month for a long time (especially on personal accounts). If you find nothing happens after three months of selling, consider changing to a business account (if not already done).

There was a recent "round" of surprisingly big increases handed out on ebay (both US and UK) following a fairly quiet spell all round.

there are no set time frames

but if you perform well and max out the selling limits every month, they may lift them

may not be much, may not happen at all

there are no certainties with eb ay/pay pal
