Default Getting selling limits raised over the phone ?

How easy is it to get your selling limits raised on a new account by regging as a business account and phoning them up ? I had my legit account selling legit items suspended with no reason.
I am going to have to go stealth now, obv any questions they ask on the phone can be easily answered just wondering if they can remove the limits completely ?

Selling limits are useless to me as I need to list loads of buy it now auctions which have loads of variations

You are going to be stuck with selling limits. You have nothing to lose by talking to them but this is where the selling limits fiasco falls down.

When you list variations you double up the amount of your selling allowance that you are using every trip

Talk to them, have all your info in front of you and don't be surprised if you come away disappointed

absolute joke these selling limits are for new business sellers.
what about people who run offline businesses and want to try the online market . They register on ebay to list their vast range of products but they can't because of these stupid limits

Established, verifiable and legitimate businesses will have little difficulty in quickly raising their selling limits to a level that their business requires.

Becoming "established" is going to be difficult with those limits now though, isn't it?

By established, I dont mean established on ebay. Could be the business has a long running website or has a bricks and mortar shop.

If ebay can see the business has a bit of history and isnt being run out of someone's bedroom, they are far more likely to grant higher selling limits early on.

The problem for someone like me was I was established on just ebay alone.

Then got my account restricted because of I assume past mistakes (they wont even tell me. Just the we think your a high risk blah blah) and now to get back on ebay with an account with no limits is going to be a problem.

There is always a reason for an account being suspended.

You say 'past mistakes' so you must have done something that went against the ebay grain.

The issue is not liking the fact of suspension. What you have to do now is make sure to not repeat the 'past errors' in new accounts.

Made a new account today.

650 limit.

Called ebay with the correct info and a bit of a story.

3500 limit.

Said it was not enough and did some backwards and forwards with them.

No limit pending confirmation of an address by post - i should be able to do this because of my method for the address.

Did the same again with another account shortly after.

Now if that was my only problem i would be a happy boy today.

That sucks, what if I upgrade to a business account to increase limits, will that effect my account?

I am registered self employed but I am not a business

Yeah its my own fault for using my 8 year old account to start my business on as I used it as a teen to make money and made some mistakes which caught up with me now. lesson learnt time to move on go stealth

can you guys tell me what sort of questions they ask over the phone, since its a legit biz I can give them supplier info etc go into detail about my business and I'll use an address I have access to incase they want to send a verification letter. Do they want anything like invoices from suppliers ?
