Seems the name variation is the best way to go. So people with 20+ accounts are using 20 different name variations? Like the book

Just to answer your question, I have never used name variation as a method. It is one way to go, but not my personal preference.

Mix of name variations and random names completely. It is possible to operate eb/pp safely without ever being asked for ID....
