Smile Ip address with 3g mifi internet connection for e bay stealth

Hello everyone!!!
My virgin media contract will end soon .
I'm planning to get 3G MIFI internet -15 GB data usage 21 mb £18.99 a month, i can connect up to 5 laptops.

I'm planning to open few Eb/PP Stealth accounts.

I have few questions:
Is it the right decision to get 3G MIFI for stealth accounts?
will i be able to change IP address for each account on each laptop?
and how to change IP address on MIFI?
Is there any way around it?

Thanks in advance

Is it the right decision to get 3G MIFI for stealth accounts? It'll work. Depends if you think£19 per month is value for money.
will i be able to change IP address for each account on each laptop? You should be able to turn the modem/router/dongle off then on again for a new IP. If you're using more than 1 laptop you can't use them at the same time. Although each laptop will get it's own IP address (like 192.168.0.2/3/4/5) the IP address that the outside world sees will be the same for each one.
and how to change IP address on MIFI? See above
Is there any way around it? Anyway around what?

That's correct, just turn it on and off again for a new IP address. It's ideal for stealth and great value for money I think.

A little tip if you do decide to get it and for anyone else who's got a 3G mifi dongle .. You'll soon eat up the 15GB of data, so give them a ring threatening to leave and they'll give you unlimited data if you do a good job on the phone. Since it's only a one month rolling contract you have a lot of bargaining power.

If you use it just for eB (or/and Az), unlikely to hit the 15 gb - just my own tip I use separate IP provider for personal stuff

i suspect the 5 laptops will have same public ip (unsure though)

The best internet for stealthers in the u.k is BT

Why

Well for starters you can connect as many laptops/computers as you like AT ONCE and each one will have a different i.p address.

eh? i'm not writing a massive reply telling you how wrong that is. can you expand or explain how 5 laptops are getting 5 different IPs through a single connection? you certainly will not get 5 different IPs connecting through a MiFi device (or any other tethering contraption).

I think TizWoz means each computer at different time - certainly if you only have 1 ISP for the whole bunch (e.g. BT), the whole bunch will all have 1 IP.

I knew you'd say that, and you're definitely wrong. They've got 1 GSM/3G/4G radio, providing 1 external, eBay/PayPal/General internet facing IP address. It'll assign IP addresses to anything attached to it, but they're private addresses that only the attached devices can see (192.168.0.7/8/9/10 etc.). If they go online with 5 laptops attached through a mifi and log into 5 separate accounts, they'll all be linked straight away.

100% correct there, When you connect multiple devices to 1 Mifi, all the devices share the same "Public IP", They do on the other hand have separate "Internal IPs" which mean nothing when login into Ebay/Paypal.

Internal IP's are used by Routers, Mifi devices to distinguish separate devices connected to these devices.

A short one will do if you like, then i can tell you how wrong you are.

there is a few ways but the simplest is to connect thorugh their bt wifi or openzone as it used to be called (which is free if you are on bt) with your email and password from each laptop, goto whatsmyip.org from each computer at the same time and tell me im wrong again

also you can easly control 3 laptops though the user interface of the router all be it not at once but you have 3 radio button options for selecting 3 different i.p rangers, one of them is custom

Perhaps to have all accounts running at same time...also saving on time for switching accounts? There are various reasons...mainly efficiency-wise

To have variety of IPs.

To reduce cross-linking.

To be super stealth.

I think a lot of people are getting bamboozled into thinking that 'mi-fi' is some new thing that you need to invest in extra dongles / change phone providers etc for.

Its not new, all 'mi-fi' stands for is 'my-wi-fi' and the technology has been around for years, if you've got a relatively recent model smartphone (Android 2.2 / Iphone 3gs onwards) you'll find that turning your phone into a wi-fi hotspot does exactly the same thing.

I use GiffGaff and I have my laptop, Android Smart TV dongle, Nintendo DS etc all connected via 'mi-fi'- i.e, wi-fi! £12 per month, unlimited data, decent download / upload speeds. Plus dynamic IP address.

Contact me if you want a FREE GiffGaff SIM card with £5 FREE credit when you activate your card.

"WiFi modem" usually refers to the one you use at home. It is powered by the standard home 240V, has larger WiFi coverage, and can connect more WiFi users.
This is the one if you plan to use this at home or fixed location

"MiFi modem" is a mini "WiFi modem, with reduced capabilities. It's usually powered by built-in battery, has smaller WiFi coverage, and can connect to limited WiFi users.
If you always bring many WiFi devices with you, (e.g. smartphone, tablet, laptop, your boyfriend/girlfriend phones, tablet) and needs internet connection for all of the devices everywhere you go. Then you should go for MiFi

You should also make sure nothing happens to link accounts when using mi-fi

Not a fan of letting others touch my internet access.
