Default Capital One 360 aka ING DIRECT

Did some searching through the forums, some said it took mismatched names some said it didnt. Id like to hear from people who have used this bank and did it allow you to have mismatched names?

Thanks

ING/Cap360 does not like mismatched names. I had a ING/Cap 360 account for one of my stealths where the names were very close - meaning one letter was off in the last name. I operated with this stealth for about a year or so before it got shut down.

So if your name is slightly off than your real name, you can use ING/Cap360, if its completely mismatched, do not use it. Use another bank such as BoA.

And Sandy's comment in that thread was a factor in why I opened a BoA account

There doesn't seem to a be a question in anyones mind that the name on the incoming deposit has to match the name on the bank account with capital one.

There are very very FEW success stories with this - see Sandy D's thread reference - so the recommendation is to use other friendlier banks...many posts around about it

A rep speaking about bank accounts not affiliated to PP...I hardly consider that proof

It is really becoming hit and miss - good that your microdeposits went through - good luck on the first withdrawal (report back after please )

Yes, I also confirm those initial penny deposits work. But just because it works, doesn't mean they will not raise a flag once real deposits start pouring in.

Based on all the comments on other threads, I didn't want to take that chance and opened up an account w/ a known bank that does accept mismatch names.

But do let us know if this Cap360 will accept deposits on mismatch names.

Ill let everyone know as soon as I do a first withdrawal. Might be a bit though because I want to let it lay dormant for a little while.

Also dont consider anything verbal as gold - written statement is best.
