DHL shipment from china please help

My supplier send me by DHL from china regulary, usually after I seen 'Departed Facility in EAST CHINA AREA - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC' message about 24 hours later there is update , either item in Germany in London, this time after more than 40 hours after I seen the message 'Departed Facility in EAST CHINA AREA - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC' there is still no update, I guess its due to backlog, has anyone experience similar recently? or maybe due to weekend ? has anyone had parcel loss by DHL?

It is the weekend, so the item may well be sat in a warehouse.

It is also a very busy time of year, so backlogs may have built up

A month or so ago there were major delays on items coming out of China, so may be the tail end of that

The DHL system can also take a few days to update sometimes.

DHL is crazy busy coming out of China/Hong Kong

Packages are on a massive backlog, waiting in warehouses.

DHL i think its taking about 8 days on average, UPS is about 10 on some shipments at the moment.

Parcel loss by DHL is such a rare event
