Which US gift cards/VCCS can I use for Amazon purchases?

Hi all,

I did a search but couldn't find an answer for the US. I need to make some Amazon purchases, but don't know what to use. I recently wasted my time putting money on an Entropay card, which Amazon doesn't accept for purchases (they blocked one of my buyer accounts).

I'm based in the UK, but need US gift cards/VCCs.

Maybe my best bet is to buy a VCC from here?

If anyone has any idea, would really appreciate an answer.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think I could use those cards for purchases from a US Amazon account? Or would there be some kind of block on it, given that it's a UK-purchased gift card? Not sure how it works.

I don't know whether a prepaid card from the UK would work on a US Amazon account (it's very important that I'm buying US Amazon gift cards on a US Amazon account... just one of my little schemes ). Maybe somebody knows about this?

Of course, I could buy a US prepaid card, but I'm finding it awkward. I'd need to get it sent to a physical address in the US. I can do this, but it's just slow and irritating. This is why I asked if anyone knew of any VCC from the US that I can make Amazon purchases on.

That was it. I wanted to do that on the US site, from the UK.

Anyway, think I found a way around the problem. Don't worry.

I intentionally kept the reason for doing all of this vague because I don't know if Amazon have personnel looking through these forums.

Dude, if your buying, amazon will take your money. don't worry. Any pre-paid gift from Tesco etc will do

ive had lots of address verification emails when using entropay and other VCCs when purchasing from amazon sadly.

These gift cards that people keep talking about that are supposedly so easy to get from supermarkets, those very same supermarkets round where we live do not sell visa gift cards, they only sell own brand or individual shop/store brand gift cards, they have dozens of those, but not one single visa or MasterCard gift card.

Purchasing on Amazon using Entropay has always worked for me in UK and European Amazons

The subject title is address verification, then the email asks to fax in bank statements and proof of address i think.

and the account gets put on hold.
