Activity: 0% Longevity: 68% | | 50x 3V vouchers - all dead - gutted - my story
Hiya.
Last week I purchased 50 3v vouchers @£22 each.
I started using them this morning and they are all dead.
I get a message asking me to contact them.
Gutted, its over a grands worth.
Its not good for me to contact them about 50 of these I don't think coz of all the questions they may ask.
I have emailed them regarding one of them, so I will wait to see what they say.
I rekon I lost out.
Oh yeah, the geezer in the shop said nothing he can do and I gotta contact them. I told him to get stuffed good and proper... and some and them some more, I tell ya.

Did you add all 50 to the same 3v account? or did you create 50 different accounts?

Also want to add I have been using 3v for years here and in Holland and never had this problem, which is why I thought I would store them up and use them when needed but it backfired.
Yo man, might be sending some money your way for some vcc's. - I will see how I get on and I cant be bothered these days to go shop to get them.

They seem to be working as from today.
Either there was a glitch in their system or the shop I got them from called them to fix it as I proper flipped out in there yesterday.
I am only gonna buy 1 at a time from now on, from a different shop

I am VERY surprised you were allowed to buy 50 at one time...experiences from my end is if I ever bought 6 or more, the system in the shop would refuse further transactions for 'x' amount of time.

MY experience with buying the 3v vouchers (for another use, not related to ebay/pp) in £150 denominations is that I can only even buy 1 per 48 hours from each shop.
Obviously a block placed by Paypoint to minimise any loses if the retailer was to close down.
Best place is tesco to buy them. There is NO handling fee added, so you pay £25 for a £25 voucher (and you get 150 clubcard points for every £50 spent on giftcards, plus they count towards the fuelsave). They are under the gift card rack, and can only be bought in £25 gift cards.
And you can buy as many as you like from tesco, no restrictions.

Technically she is correct, you don't get the 1 point per £ spent on gift cards.
As a special promotion however (that's been running for 18 months, so not that special lol) you get 150 points per every £150 of gift cards you buy (so 3 points per £).
Now where it gets interesting is, with the £25 3V gift vouchers you get in Tesco's, there is no purchase fee with them like there is with the vouchers you can buy from paypoint stores. So you pay £25 and can spend £25.
Basically free VCC's, because once you've added to paypal, confirmed the card and waited for the several £1 holds to drop off, you've got all the money and can do whatever you want with it.

PS if you've still got your receipt take it back and they will manually add the points. £1.50 in clubcard vouchers, which can be doubled/trebled up isn't to be sniffed at.
Plus you lost 2p fuelsave as well!
