Ebay and paypal tax question

I'm a new a seller on eBay and I want to know when will you have to pay hmrc tax? Please I'm really confused

the threshold is going up to £10500 in 1 trading year, and you submit the tax return by 31 Jan, the amount you pay is after expenses.

you are meant to register as soon as you become self-employed though.

funny you should mention this as I got asked today by my freelancer, and the answer was not online.

I know about if you earn over the threshold, but what about under?

she earns less than the threshold, do you need to register as self-employed, she was wondering more about for ni credits....?
